The championship game of the inaugural “Heaters at Havenwood” tournament delivered an absolute classic between the Elkridge Canes and the HCYP Raiders 11u White.

After a hard-fought, emotionally draining battle that left players, coaches, and parents exhausted, the umpire called the game at the start of the sixth inning due to darkness. Without hesitation, both sides put the safety of their players first—that is true class.

Although the final score stood at 14-14, the coaches from both teams agreed there was no need to resume the game another day. By mutual agreement, the championship was decided by seeding, and congratulations go to the Elkridge Canes as champions of the first-ever 11u “Heaters at Havenwood” tournament.

To the HCYP Raiders 11u White: true class and true sportsmanship. In the end, an instant classic was born—a game these kids from both teams will share with friends at school and remember for a lifetime. That is the true purpose and lasting value of youth sports.

This weekend we had the privilege of watching talented young athletes do what they love. We saw impressive home runs, fierce pitching duels, and hard-fought games that stretched past the time limit and were decided in extra innings.

Thank you for bringing your energy, skill, and sportsmanship. There’s nothing greater than youth sports.

Rain? No problem our field crew has been here since 4am to make sure this tournament sees itself through. Thank you to all the teams, parents, players and coaches who’ve contributed to make this a success. Day 3 here we are!

Day 2 of the tournament at Pasadena Baseball has delivered some incredible baseball.

Diving plays, home runs, and dominant pitching have lit up the field—but the real highlight has been the smiles on the faces of parents, players, and coaches.

Second call for uniform pick up. We will be at the blockhouse at 5pm. Please come to the side door and someone will assist you.

Reminder: Only a coach or team parent will be allowed to pick up the uniforms. We will not piece them out as they have been prepackaged for each age division.

This coming weekend PBC will be hosting a Heaters at Havenwood Tournament, this is a great fundraiser for the league. We are in need of volunteers to work in the concessions stand so we can be open for the whole event 9/11, 9/12, 9/13. If you have always wanted to help out to see what its like in concessions, you can sign up for just an hour and if you like it, you can always stay longer.

The Snack Shack needs help with staffing during the weekends of the Heaters at Havenwood Tournament! Please sign up if you can help out!

I will be at the blockhouse today from 5-6:30 to hand out uniforms. Only a coach or a team parent will be given the uniforms. This makes the process easier as the uniforms are already prepackaged and ready for distribution. The side door to the blockhouse will be open.

Pasadena Baseball Club will be holding their Annual Trunk or Treat on Saturday October 3rd from 5:00-7:30pm. This will be at the fields across the street from Northeast Middle School. Concessions will be open and we always include some fun fall treats that we normally do not have on our menu. If you would like to do a trunk please reach out to Julia Blum at [email protected].

Getting a lot more questions than usual about equipment, so here’s a quick breakdown to help 😊
4U & 6U
Players are responsible for their own helmet, glove, and bat. USA bats only.
PBC will provide a bag with game balls, practice balls, and a lineup board (if available).

8U–12U
Players are responsible for their own helmet, glove, and bat. USA bats only.
PBC will provide a bag with catcher’s equipment, practice balls, and game balls.

15U
Same as 8U–12U, except players may use either a BBCOR or USA bat.
