Our first event of the season was this past weekend in Belle Rose, Louisiana. The No Problem Raceway staff were very welcoming and helped kick start our late arrival off on a good note. As we closed out the divisional event, Will Emmons was the last man standing in Round 4 but grabbed his walking papers so we prepared to restart the following day for the Laris Motorsports Cajun Sportsnationals. As the event unfolded, Gary won the automatic combo class in his FS/A 2014 Cobra Jet, Landon defeated older brother Will in the final of A/SA class with a battle of their 1969 Camaro’s, and Jerry won B/SA class over Josh Decker in a Camaro versus Corvette matchup. In the main event, Landon got us to round 4 where Austin Williams decided it was his turn to advance. The youngest of Speedy’s boys, Jace (13), made it to the final round of the Junior Dragster class and carded a Runner-Up finish. Terry made a ton of progress with his modified car with the help of Paul Brogdon while Speedy struggled with a new combination in his Cavalier. We appreciate all the great food that was provided by Laris Motorsports Insurance and many thanks to Mikey and Rylie Trumble for their assistance on the cars. Also, thanks to Davey Allison for helping out with Will and Landon. Pete Peery always shows up early and leaves late to make sure we are taken care of, making him one of our most valuable assets to the team. Our next event is May 14-17 at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Texas. See you there!

DID YOU KNOW that on March 3, 1931, President Herbert Hoover officially signed “The Star-Spangled Banner” as our National Anthem?🇺🇸
In NHRA sportsman drag racing, you will find there are military veterans competing across all categories. When you hear about their experiences, I swear it makes a person STAND a little straighter when “The Star-Spangled Banner” plays over the PA system before final eliminations.
In honor of National Anthem Day, we want to say how much we appreciate our racing military veterans sharing their stories of sacrifice with us. See you at the races! 🇺🇸🏆

Drag racing is special to us for many reasons. We all talk about friendships that last a lifetime because of racing. Here is a pic in the early 1970’s (almost certain 1971) of Mike Trumble Jr. (Mikey) and Harvey Emmons III (Speedy) at the races. As we have all grown up, Mikey has always been the guy who would help us in a moments notice regardless of the ask! Speedy has been the glue of our family since our Dad passed away. This is just one example of the invaluable friendships that continue to grow because of our sport. We’d love to hear some of your stories with your friends and see some pics! Be sure to post them and comment below!

We want to wish our wonderful Mom a HAPPY 80th BIRTHDAY, today. She dedicated her life to raising us and being our biggest supporter behind the scenes. From PTA school meetings, Team Mom throughout our years in baseball, to many long days and late nights helping us with our homework and studies. She NEVER once asked for anything in return. She supported us going into the family car business (even though she preferred we become doctors or lawyers) and she has always celebrated our success in our racing careers. She has been there for each of us in the highs and the lows that life will throw at you. She is a woman of great character, patience, integrity, and has a genuine interest in people and their life story with unconditional love in her heart. From all of us, Mom, we love you beyond measure and are so thankful that GOD chose you as our mother.
Love,
Speedy, Terry, Jerry, and Gary

This past Sunday, Terry and Walt Walker decided it was time to reintroduce the engine to its counterpart, the SS/BS Chevrolet Cavalier.
DID YOU KNOW this car was originally built for one of the Jegs Aftermarket and High Performance Parts family members, John Coughlin, then owned by Lincoln Morehead for a brief time before it found its forever home with us? We love it!

TUESDAY’S TRUTH:
Can you guess what caused this wild ride in Gary’s 1969 Camaro a few years back?
*Hint: It was not a connecting rod exiting the oil pan!
