𝗠𝗬 #𝟭 𝗧𝗢𝗣 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗔𝗧-𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚⁣

So earlier this week I got asked, “Paige, what’s the top tool you recommend or add into your at-home Pilates programs?”⁣

I have a few things I KNOW work but my #1 TOP recommendation is the Pilates Suspension Method on the TRX. I actually create a custom Pilates routine with it and here’s why it gets great results + who it can work for…⁣

First of all, let’s just start with the fact that I LOVE the suspension exercises and using the TRX system to do Pilates.⁣

The TRX system takes Pilates to a whole different dimension in terms of challenge + fun!⁣

• Provides “just enough support” so that balance is challenged without the fear of falling⁣
• Improve posture because scapular stability is required in all exercises⁣
• Body weight exercises + Extra stability needed to perform moves = Increased muscle strength⁣

A lot of my clients have chronic pain, or are working with a body that needs strength building …some are post surgery or have a chronic issue that really makes them “baby their bodies, so they don’t injure themselves.⁣

Others are super psyched to find a way to fine tune results, to get that strong sculpted lean look that comes from really building up lean muscle tissue.⁣

The Pilates Suspension Method on the TRX is a fantastic way to train the body to build strength + endurance while supporting the weaker areas that need rehab.⁣

𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗗𝗢 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗞, 𝗜 𝗠𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗡, 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗢 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥?!⁣

Can I ask you a personal question?⁣

It’s something that usually comes up this time of year…⁣

When was the last time you put yourself first?⁣

Really 𝘴𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘥 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯, giving yourself the space to ask,⁣

“Am I putting everyone else’s needs before my own?”⁣

“Is a new chapter or desire in my journey daunting me?”⁣

Because even if it’s a positive thing like 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙪𝙚 𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 or 𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙥𝙪𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙚 or 𝙨𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙪𝙙𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙜𝙤𝙖𝙡𝙨, ⁣

Change is scary. Full stop.⁣

One of the ways we cope, is to distract ourselves and focus on giving + supporting everyone else. Now, I’m not saying that you don’t truly enjoy being there for those you love…⁣

In fact a true sense of joy, even pride, is garnered from showing up consistently for the ones you love.⁣

Learning to tap into the balance between me time⁣
and being there for others will actually allow you to “feed” so many people. ⁣

Because big changes like:⁣
• What’s my next chapter going to look like?⁣
• I feel a lot of stress about caring for my family⁣
• I’m not ok letting my body “go”, I want to look + feel vibrant⁣
• I want to re-ignite my relationship with my man + radically enjoy life together⁣

Are no longer hidden fears, but are actually given the space to come forward⁣…

𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗪𝗢𝗨𝗟𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗘?⁣

Well for starters, we need to shift this pattern, and I KNOW you’re going to deeply love how this feels. I know I did.⁣

Here’s what I recommend + know works:⁣
• Commit to daily practices that create clarity + intention around your next steps⁣
• Learn techniques to help you process the heavier emotions of life (hint: these show up as aches + pains in your body)⁣
• Discover your current motivation + action plan to get you in the best shape of your life⁣
• Trust that when you put yourself first, confidence rises + your relationship with self and others shifts ⁣

𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥 𝗜𝗦 𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗨𝗟⁣

𝗣𝗔𝗜𝗚𝗘, 𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗗𝗢 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗗𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡 + 𝗖𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗠𝗜𝗭𝗘 𝗢𝗡𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗦?⁣

Well the truth is, two different women can have completely different goals + set points.⁣

Sometimes I’ll have a client whose been with me for years, and she’s totally motivated to learn new breathwork techniques to:⁣

• Manage stress⁣
• Stay in the present moment during her workout so she can really 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 her body⁣
• To move repressed + stuck feelings out of her body that are causing pain + stiffness⁣

Her goals + desires may look like:⁣

I want to use Pilates as a way to connect with my inner voice. To be more confident at work + in family matters.⁣

So, I’d custom create her workouts, with the appropriate modalities, that “filter” around all these goals.⁣

We’d use breathwork to reduce stress in her body, and set up her workout goals to have her really do some inner + outer work.⁣

But then I’ll have a client that looking for something completely different.⁣

Example…Perhaps she’s burnt out from the gym or chasing that HIIT workout. She cannot spend one more precious second of her life counting calories.⁣

For this client, the intention is creating workouts that inspire her! Weaving in modalities that call forward ways to have a fun + healthy relationship with her body in the now.⁣

For this client, goals + desires may be:⁣

• Feel sexy + confident now⁣
• To find ways to achieve killer sculpted results⁣
• Eat without restriction⁣

So the “filter” for this client, as you can see, is totally different.⁣

Before you embark on your new fitness routine, I encourage you to take some time to set a powerful intention. ⁣

Intention + Customized Plan = Motivation⁣

Because the truth is, we don’t have to wait 90 days to feel good. It’s about starting with the way we want to feel to create the outcomes we truly desire.⁣

𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗜𝗧 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞𝗦 𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗜𝗡 𝗔 𝗗𝗜𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗪𝗔𝗬!⁣

Is it possible to feel happy, sexy, + satisfied in your body BEFORE the results come?⁣

The biggest block that holds my clients back from starting + up leveling their fitness,⁣

• I feel so bad + out of shape, it’s daunting to start⁣

“𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙣’𝙩 𝙙𝙤”⁣

This was my mantra for years!⁣

Unlearning was my first step to working out in a different way.⁣ ⁣

Although this mantra is inspirational, it was subtly shaming me.⁣

That shame separated me from my body’s innate wisdom.⁣

The wisdom that was asking me:⁣
• To sleep instead of being in the gym at 5am⁣
• To take it easy with a stretch + leisure walk⁣
• Get results faster through rest⁣

We ladies cycle every month…just like the seasons, there’s time for work, harvest, + rest.⁣

I was being asked to honor my season of rest.⁣

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗘⁣

⁣Reflecting back on this time, I was truly learning to live in harmony with pleasure.⁣

Sure, I allowed myself a dallop here and there when I felt I had earned it.⁣

But to show up differently, pleasure became⁣ a foundational component of my workouts.⁣

𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗙 + 𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗕𝗢𝗗𝗬 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠⁣

“Getting back in shape” is daunting when you feel frustrated + stuck.⁣

Those blocks 𝘢𝘳𝘦 the call from your body asking you to show up differently.⁣
