Evolve Life Centers is accepting applications for Behavioral Health Technicians in Pasadena, Maryland.

Behavioral Health Technicians are vital members of our residential care team. They help create a safe, structured, and supportive environment for clients as they navigate substance use treatment and recovery.

In this role, you may support client supervision, observe and document behavior, assist with medication self administration oversight, help maintain daily structure in residential settings, orient new clients, transport clients to appointments and recovery support activities, respond to emergencies, and collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary treatment team.

We are looking for dependable, compassionate professionals who can communicate clearly, remain calm in demanding situations, uphold ethical standards, and support individuals with dignity and respect.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, current CPR certification, strong communication skills, and knowledge of 12 Step recovery principles. Applications are accepted on a continuous basis.

Great leadership isn’t about doing everything yourself. It’s about trusting the people beside you to step up.

Five days ago, while our leader Carressa Christian stepped away to handle outside meetings, she passed the leadership baton to our Senior Counselor, Brittney, CSC-AD, who stepped in to keep things moving and support the team.

It’s moments like these that remind us that leadership can look different from day to day. Sometimes it means leading from the front. Sometimes it means trusting someone else to take the lead.

And when you have a team that is ready to step up, everyone moves forward together.

Sometimes, the people who seem strongest are carrying more than we realize.

Earlier this year, our team member Kayla found herself facing an unexpected medical journey. What started with unanswered questions and countless tests eventually led to surgery, along with medical expenses she never expected to face.

But in one of life’s hardest moments, Kayla didn’t have to carry the burden alone.

Through Evolve Cares, an employee-supported fund matched dollar for dollar by Evolve, Kayla received $6,000 in support to help ease the financial weight during a difficult season.

That’s what Evolve Cares is really about.

Evolve Life Centers is seeking a compassionate, skilled Residential Substance Abuse Counselor to support individuals and families in a residential treatment setting.

This is an opportunity to do work that matters every day. In this role, you will provide education and counseling related to chemical dependency, co occurring disorders, and relapse prevention. You will help lead individual and group services, participate in treatment planning, complete assessments and documentation, coordinate referrals, and collaborate with healthcare providers and community partners to support whole person recovery.

Our residential programs provide 24 hour support, personalized therapy, recovery skill building, mental health services, and medication assisted treatment options when clinically appropriate.

We are looking for a professional who brings clinical judgment, empathy, strong communication skills, and a commitment to ethical, client centered care. Applicants should hold an active Maryland CSC AD, ADT, or CAC AD certification, with relevant education and experience in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.

A few years ago Evolve Life Centers used equine therapy to give clients a different way to explore recovery.

Through working with horses they learned about trust vulnerability anxiety and the importance of having a clear intention.

The activity was more than simply working with a horse. It created an opportunity to reflect on the people and things that help keep recovery grounded such as family strength and community.

As we recognize Recovery Month and Su***de Prevention Month we look back on moments like this and remember that recovery can take many paths. Sometimes healing begins with connection. Sometimes it begins with learning to trust again.
