I went to Toutle Motorsports Park for the first time for the Team Tortoise Racing race this weekend. The weather was crazy and I had some bike issues but I still had a good time and I learned a lot. I look forward to Washougal for the next race. Thank you for the new gear set , and for all the support JMC Motorsports, 6D Helmets and Atlas Brace!

I had a lot of fun at my first NORCs this weekend. Even though I’ve done a lot of PT and strength training on my injured wrist, it began to seize up. I tried to keep going but it reached a point where it would have been unsafe to keep riding so I had to pull off. I have a month to work on my wrist strength and I’m looking forward to Eddieville. Thank you for everything you do JoelMichele Micka and the talk after Joel.

Chuck bought some tickets to a raffle by the Kurt Caselli Foundation and he won a really amazing, one of a kind bike! The Kurt Caselli foundation was established in honor of Kurt Caselli, and it focuses on rider safety before, during, and after racing. This sport is an inherently dangerous one, so it’s great to see a group like this out there looking out for riders — check out their resources and how to get involved and help out! Atlas Brace came out with boots. They are very unique with a lot of good features and they have good flexibility and comfort. And I don’t skip leg day and they actually fit my legs.

I went to an enduro clinic with Splat Moto with my dad this weekend. It was really fun. I learned a lot about control of the bike. It was a good way to get back into it after my injury. Thanks JMC Motorsports for helping us get ready for it!

In June, I fractured my scaphoid. In September, I had to get screws in my wrist. This week, I had to get the screws taken back out. I’ve been off the bike a long time and I am looking forward to being able to ride soon. While I wait I’ve been gaining rating points in chess and building my yoyo collection. I just got a new gearset from JMC Motorsports and it’s really high quality and looks good. I can’t wait to wear it. I have surgery on my wrist next week so hopefully I’ll be back on the bike in 6 to 7 weeks.

PSA: Whether you’ve been riding a while or you’re new to the sport, look ahead and watch the riders in front of you and around you. And if you do accidentally hit someone and pitch them off their bike, please stop and check on them. Looks like Emmett (and his poor bike) will be out for a bit after someone hit him hard from the back.
