Matt Potter Named 2026 MCC Coach of the Year

The Pasco High School community is proud to celebrate an extraordinary achievement as Matt Potter has been named the 2026 MCC Coach of the Year!

Since taking over the Pasco High School program in 2010 as the head coach, Coach Potter has built one of the most respected and successful programs in the state.

Through his leadership, passion, and commitment to student-athletes, he has created a legacy defined by excellence both on and off the field.

Over the course of his remarkable tenure, Coach Potter has led Pasco High School to:
• 9 District Championships
• 4 Trophies in the WIAA Final Four for Soccer
• 2 State Championships

This latest honor marks the fifth time since 2013 that Coach Potter has earned MCC Coach of the Year recognition — a testament to his consistency, dedication, and impact on the Mid-Columbia Conference.

In addition to his conference success, Coach Potter was also recognized on a larger stage when he was named the 2020–21 WIAA/NFHS Northwest Region Coach of the Year, placing him among the elite high school coaches in the nation.

Coach Potter’s leadership continues to inspire generations of Pasco athletes, students, and families. His commitment to excellence, teamwork, and Raider pride has elevated Pasco High School athletics and strengthened our entire community.

Our season ended on Thursday but I’m grateful for these men to my right and left on the work we did this season. I’m also thankful for the support we’ve received from the Pasco community and we will continue to work to build this program. I’m excited for our future! 🏀
