In case you missed it...TODAY is going to be a HOT ONE!
Memorial Aquatic Park has implemented "Safety Breaks" during open swim for all staff. What this means for you is that the last 10 minutes of each hour, pools will be cleared for 10 minutes. This is the perfect time to drink water, take bathroom breaks, check on family members who are with you and get out of the sun.
We want you and your loved ones to be safe in the heat.
Here are some great tips to remember in general:
o Stay hydrated
o Stay cool in the shade or bring your own
o Wear lightweight, light colored clothing
o Stay cool indoors with a/c, at a park, or at the pool
o Avoid being out at the hottest hours
o Don't leave kids or pets in hot cars
o Beware of heat-related illness
o Check on your elderly & at-risk neighbors
