MVSH kicked off the 2026 show season with some lovely results at the El Sueño February Dressage Show.
Although it was a smaller show, it turned out to be a super couple of days. The competition was well organized by Kim Goto, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for riders, horses, and supporters alike. It made for a fun and positive start to the season for the Mountain View Sport Horses team. Lily Bacon and Nadia MVS moved up to 2nd level with super scores to earn Amateur high point both days . Aislin Falasco, debuted her new mare Adelyn at 4-1 and 4-3 and earned Junior high point. And my News Man MVS moved up to 4 th level with respectable scores to win his classes! Happy with our success in dressage today! Tamerlane VDL (Jovian x Zonik) has been selected for the KWPN Stallion Test✨

We are extremely proud of this special homebred stallion, which we have bred and own together with Jackie Ahl-Eckhaus.

Traveling to Holland next week to attend the stallion show to cheer on our Tamerlane VDL (Jovian x Zonik), who has successfully advanced to the second viewing of the young stallion approvals. This is an exciting and significant milestone reflecting the high-quality and promise he has shown. Advancing to the second viewing indicates that the judges have already recognized his correctness quality of movement athletic potential and suitability for future sport. It is thrilling to see a young stallion of this quality progress such a prestigious evaluation. Tamerlane’s pedigree combines some of the most respected modern bloodlines.

Mountain View Sport Horses wrapped up an incredible 2025 season at the Great American Insurance Group / USDF Region 7 dressage Championships and the Annual CDS Regional Championship show!

In his first season at Grand Prix, Jett MVS (Brettonwoods X Flemmingh) was 4th in the CDS Horse of the Year class. On Sunday Jett MVS was the Champion for the USDF Grand Prix.

Lily Rose Bacon and Nadia MVS (Vitalis x Sir Donnerhall) started the week with a 2nd place in a large Welcome First Level class. They were Reserve Champion JR/YR in the CDS Horse of the Year class.

7 year old News Man MVS ( Desperado X Apache) got his shoe replaced Friday after a week off due to a hot nail, to hold his own in the competitive Open 3rd Level, securing top-ten finishes at both the USDF and CDS Championships.

This little guy turned 11 today. He’s a national finals Chicago young horse competitor , a PSG developing horse competitor , a developing GP horse competitor and this year before his 11 yr. birthday a confirmed GP competitor. What a weekend for Mountain View Sport Horses!
We kicked off our first show of the season at SLO-CDS Wine Country Dressage with big milestones:

• Jett MVS made his Grand Prix debut for a 65.00% and a 67.50%
• News Man MVS showed Third Level for the first time earning a 69.18% and a 72.97%
• Lily Bacon & Nadia MVS competed in their First Level debut earning 66.21%, 67.77% and a 70.18%

Both News Man and Nadia took home High Point honors in the Open and Jr/YR divisions—both days!

I arrived in Holland, Friday April 4 to attend the VDL Stud annual Stallion show. I believe 59 horses were featured. We saw jumping and dressage stallions and foals. We saw super stllion Grand Slam. They jumped over 50 rounds and not one rail came down. It was very exciting afternoon to see such amazing stallions.  A huge tent was set up for breeders. The breeders were awarded a beautiful framed picture and flowers for their winning stallion either in a Keuring or jumping championship.
We were delighted to see this years VDL stallions who became perferent, Arrezo, Baltic, Etoulon, and Harley. There were 4 dressage stallions featured. Traviso, Expectation, Bretagne, and Merlot. All amazing! I believe about 2500 + people attended. It was a great show and a beautiful sunny day as well.

Mountain View Sport Horses NL is so excited to have Panache MVS (Expression x Apache) home to San Luis Obispo. Can’t wait to start working with this amazing mare!

Congratulations to the Cal Poly Dressage Team and its members on a super weekend, winning the team competition both days, and all members brought home one of the top three awards in their division. Our Cal Poly team member also achieved the high score of the day on Saturday. Congratulations for all your great rides over the weekend! Thank you to all who worked behind the scenes, scoring, scribing, and organizing the show. Cal Poly has earned their qualifing scores for the national IDA finals in St. Louis! Huge CONGRATULATIONS .
