Officially CSCS!
This has been a goal of mine for too long. But better late than never. A little delayed on the post, but I was waiting for the actual certificate to show up.
It’s never too late to achieve what you want to achieve. I’m a big believer in the certification does not make the trainer, the trainer makes the certification. But this one I’m proud of. It’s not an easy thing, and not something they just give out. Excited to continue to bring the best knowledge I can to all my athletes.

The work drives the results, those results get noticed!
Just because you’re in season doesn’t mean the training stops! has been staying consistent all season and the work and results are showing! A batting average hovering around .500, homeruns over the fence and inside the park, speed to burn batting lead off and rock solid defense at short stop.
The talent is there like it always has been, and her commitment to the work is bringing that talent forward all season!

First offseason in the books with and the future is bright!
I came in to the offseason unsure what to expect from a 12u team. It’s safe to say I Severely underestimated them! Every week I brought them a hard workout and every week they asked for more! Anytime I can see a whole team finish their program and honestly say they all got better, that makes my job fun.
They had girls setting PRs in lifts, in jumps, in sprints and even one player make high school varsity in 7th grade! Good luck to whoever plays them this coming travel season…there is no weakness from anyone on this team!

Fresh off her tournament win in Connecticut, was back in the lab today for more work.
We’ve seen lots of results in a short time which just motivates me to keep the hard work coming. Threw some new stuff at her today and she attacked it.
Gotta have her ready for another title when the next tournament rolls around!

The mission last night was speed and getting explosive. Mission accomplished!!
The ladies of have been in the gym every week since October! Most winter workouts start in January. Those extra few months are going to set them apart. Every one of these girls has seen improvements in strength and speed since we started.
For some of these girls this is our 3rd offseason together, for some it’s our first, regardless their effort has been where it needs to be every week. In my 3 offseason with this squad, this has been the most productive yet. It’s workouts like these that make me excited to see where they go this season.
Great job ladies, let’s finish the offseason strong just like we started!

Turning speed into a weapon ⚔️
#
Taking a fast athlete who wants to get faster, it’s about fixing the little things. Tendon work, bringing up weaker hamstrings, and acceleration drills.
#
Being fast is good for any athlete, making your speed a weapon can set you apart!
#
1 is getting himself ready for his last high school baseball season and his first season of college ball after that! We’ve got all county dreams this year! Let’s go get it!

Leg day ✅
#
Like a lot of dudes, I grew up anti leg day. Then I started working legs and seeing them grow. Now I can’t stop!
#
As usual, heavy weights, not too high on the reps.
Hack Squat 6x3
RDL 6x3
Leg Extension 8x3
Nordics 6x3
Calf Raises 8x3

They say “abs are made in the kitchen”…
#
I mostly agree, it often comes down to your diet to get low enough body fat so you can see abs. That being said, like any other muscle in your body, you do heavy movements, and recover properly, your ab muscles grow and show through more.
#
I used to be of the school of thought that my core muscles get worked during my compound lifts. Then at the same time I wondered why my abs never showed like I wanted them to. These days, I’m consistent, work my abs heavy, now if only food wasn’t so delicious so I could lean out more!

When done correctly, speed and change of direction drills start to translate quickly on the field!
#
Often times when an athlete wants to get faster we can make a difference just by changing some fundamental footwork and technique. Once we find out what we can tweak, it’s all about consistent practice so it becomes instinct.
#
It looks like he’s just running, there’s more to it than that. College soccer season is around the corner and ._vera will be ready!

Been messing around with some contrast training the last few weeks! I gotta say, I’m loving how I’m feeling with this.
#
The whole point of contrast training to is get your muscles firing with some heavy lifts, then use that to work on your explosive athletic movements. As always before I bring anything to my clients, I like to give it a shot myself. I find it a great way to keep up strength, and also train to be explosive in a safe, but efficient way. Gonna be doing this more often this summer in the never ending quest to stay athletic as I age.

“Training is the sport. I train because I love to train. I train to run faster, jump higher and do cool sh*t” - on the
#
I heard that said yesterday and that resonated with me. I’m 42, far from naturally athletic, not genetically gifted, didn’t start seriously training until my 30’s. That won’t stop me from getting as close to my athletic potential as my body will allow.
#
Besides, the better I can make myself, the better I’ll be able to make the athletes I train.

Never get tired of seeing this team win!
#
Been training most of these girls for 2 off seasons plus now. Always enjoy seeing them bring it in the gym, it’s even better seeing them do what they do best. Impressive weekend ladies. Including great team defense and pitching in the shutout championship game. On to the next one.
