Grab the leash, pack the camping gear, and bring your four-legged adventure buddy along! Dog-tober returns to La Jolla Indian Campground for the entire month of October 2026, giving campers the opportunity to enjoy a fall getaway without leaving their dogs at home.
During Dog-tober, dogs are welcome to camp with their families at the RV Park or throughout Areas 1–4; choose from Tent Camping and pick your spot upon arrival, or check out our Group Sites that are available to reserve in advance.
Located along the San Luis Rey River in Pauma Valley, California, La Jolla Indian Campground offers a beautiful outdoor escape for campers looking to spend a few days surrounded by nature with your furry friend!

There’s something about waking up to Palomar Mountain right outside your tent that never gets old. Mornings here are fueled by coffee near the river, maybe a walk if you’re feeling it, or just tubing down the current with the kids.
By afternoon we’re usually winding through the trees on the zip line or hitting the biking trails of Luiseño Bike Park, and by night everyone’s back at the campsite trading stories under the stars and roasting marshmallows.
