BIG CHANGE for the 24th FREE Annual Community Thanksgiving Meal - Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026!

This well-loved 100% donation and 100% volunteer-driven community event is back to serve our community with FREE hot Thanksgiving meals with all the sides and fixings. New this year: Unlike last year and years prior, we will NOT be taking individual call-in orders. Instead, we will be preparing 4,000 meals and, based on last year's numbers, those meals will be distributed to each of our convenient pick-up sites.

Need a hot Thanksgiving meal? No questions asked. Just come pick them up ON THANKSGIVING DAY - as many as you or your family needs, up to 11 meals - at any of our distribution locations on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Come early, as meals will be available until they are all picked up.

Need 12 or more meals? You will still need to pre-order by October 31st by calling (681) 688-4128 - please leave your name, phone number, number of meals needed, and your pick-up location.

Bring your own bucket or carrying device and come grab as much [gardening/cleaning] lime as you can. Located at Pax Town Hall until supplies last. Also free food and water still available.

FREE FOOD AND WATER

Thanks to a generous donation from Manna Ministries Outreach Center, Pax Town Hall has a large supply of storage safe food and water to help the community. If you are in need of food or water please stop by Pax Town Hall during business hours to pick it up.

The Boil Water Advisory that was issued on August 20th, 2026 for the area above the booster station on Willis Branch is now lifted. We will contact those who were effected shortly.

Fayette County Commission has just released a new form to help flood victims. This is a separate form from the one posted previously. If you have been effected from the recent flooding please fill one of these out and submit to help get financial assistance to this area. The Fayette County Commission is accepting applications for assistance from Fayette County residents affected by the August 2026 floods until noon on September 15, 2026.

There is a Damage Survey available at town hall if anybody suffered from damage from the recent flood, this survey will report to WV Emergency Data Management so that FEMA may be able to get involved. The more surveys completed the better the chances will be for assistance. If you need help filling out the survey please call town hall or give us a visit and we will help you fill out a survey. 304-877-2407.

Currently issuing a Boil Water Advisory for the area above the booster station in Willis Branch. This will effect about 9 customers and we will be calling or texting those effected shortly. This is around the Coal River Mountain Road area. We will update as soon as possible.
