What do you do when you have this new healthy diet or workout routine and you slip up? Well, I’m gonna tell you what to do because it happened to me.
You see, yesterday, we were out of town. We were at my beautiful niece’s, wedding down in Dublin, and so we got home much later than normal, and so I didn’t get up before the sun came up this morning…
That meant I broke this great streak that I had going.
The key to long-term success, though?
It’s getting right back on track the very next day so that you don’t create a new streak of not doing the new habit. So be encouraged.
If you’ve slipped up before and you feel like you fell off the wagon and then you ate the wagon, just get right back on track because if you keep doing that consistently, over time it’ll just become your routine and your standards that you live by.

As a coach, there are a few fitness beliefs I was absolutely convinced were true when I was younger…
Now in my late 40s, I’ve completely changed my mind.
#1: If it wasn’t hard, it wasn’t helping.
I lived with an “all or nothing” mentality. Every workout had to leave me exhausted. The result? Too much wear and tear, too little recovery, and more injuries and setbacks than I care to admit.
#2: Slow cardio was a waste of time.
I thought intervals were the only way to burn fat and get results. Today, Zone 2 cardio is one of the most important tools I use. It helps restore my body, improves endurance, supports fat loss, and even promotes cellular health.
#3: The same nutrition plan works for everyone.
I used to think there was one “best” way to eat. Now I know that age, goals, body type, lifestyle, stress levels, and hormones all matter. What works great for one person may be completely wrong for another.
The longer I’ve been in fitness, the more I’ve learned that success isn’t about doing more…
It’s about doing what your body actually needs.

For the past 18+ years, I've had a front-row seat to thousands of transformations.
I've watched people lose 10 pounds, 50 pounds, even 100+ pounds.
And I've also watched people struggle despite working incredibly hard.
If there's one lesson I've learned, it's this:
Most people don't need more information. They need a clear plan.
Today, there is more fitness information available than ever before.
Keto.
Intermittent fasting.
Macros.
Carnivore.
Weight Watchers.
Ozempic.
CrossFit.
HIIT.
Walking.
Zone 2.
Strength training.
The list never ends.
The problem isn't that people don't care.
