Our First International Guest Of The Summer Has Arrived! Keisuke Katsuyama, From Fuji City Taido Arrived Yesterday! We Had A Welcome Party For Keisuke Sensei At Antico Pizza. So Many Of Our Japan Trip Attendees Were There To Reconnect With Him. He Will Be Joining Us For Summer Camp Next Weekend And Will Be Practicing Taido With Us Until Our International Guests Arrive In July.

Ladies & Gentlemen, We Have An Amazing New First Degree Black Belt! Mariko Ito Tested By Herself For Just Over 3 Hours Yesterday! Her Techniques, Physical Conditioning, And Fighting Spirit Were At An Amazingly High Level. All Attendees Were So Deeply Impressed With Her Incredible Performance. It Was The First Time A Student Has Tested Alone In Over 20 Years. Mariko Went Through Deep Suffering To Make It To The End, But She Never Gave Up And She Never Faltered. She Is Going To Make Such An Excellent Addition To Our Doshi-Kai (Black Belt Society)! Congratulations To Mariko! And A Big Thanks Goes To Her Family Who Has Supported Her So Very Much On Her Taido Journey To Shodan. The Next Part Of Her Taido Story Is Where The Real Fun Begins!

We Are Happy To Announce That Mariko Ito’s Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt) Test Will Be Held At The Taido School On Saturday, June 6th From 10:00am To 2:00pm. All Taido Students Are Invited To Come And Witness This Special Event. It Is Not Required To Stay For The Entire Test, However, There Are Rules Regarding Audience Members:
—No Babies Or Toddlers.
—No Electronic Devices May Be In Use Inside The School. You May Go Outside During Breaks To Check Your Device.
—Entry & Exit Can Only Occur During Breaks.
—Total Silence Will Be Enforced During The Test.
Mariko Has Been Working Extremely Hard To Reach This Goal And We Will Make Sure She Has An Environment Where She Can Have Her Best Performance.

Tanaka Sensei & Reiko-San Have Safely Returned To Japan. Their 6 Day Visit To U.S. Taido Has Made A Tremendous Impact. We Will Continue To Practice Tanaka Sensei’s Breathing And Technique Drills To Improve Our Taido Skills. We Will See Them In Sweden In The Summer Of 2027 For The World Taido Championships.

On Saturday & Sunday We Had The Most Amazing Seminars With Tanaka Sensei!
His Positive Energy And Passion For Taido Are Mugen (Limitless). We Learned Breathing Techniques And New Training Methods That Will Help Us Become Better Both In The Dojo, And Outside Of It. We Are Very Blessed To Have Him And Reiko-San Visiting Us And Wish They Could Stay Longer.

On Thursday My Family Took Tanaka Sensei & Reiko-San To The Braves Game. Unfortunately, The Braves Lost To The Cubs. But We Has A Wonderful Experience At The Stadium. Today The Tanakas Were At The Dojo. They Were Able To See The Top-Gun Classes. Then After A Quick Sushi Dinner, Tanaka Sensei Helped Us With Our Tengi (Gymnastics). Tomorrow When Have Seminars All Day Long With Teens & Adults. Taido Mugen! (Taido Is Limitless)

Mariko Will Be Testing For Her First Degree Black Belt On Saturday, June 6th, At The Taido Dojo! Everybody Has Seen How Hard Mariko Has Been Training, Teaching, And Cleaning The Dojo. She Will Be Testing By Herself, Which Is Extremely Difficult. So, Everybody Support Her As She Takes On This Challenge.

Tuesday Evening Uchida Kai-Cho Was Honored By The City Council Of Peachtree Corners For His “Promotion Of Japanese Cultural Exchange By Teaching Students The Taido Style Of Karate And Representing The United States At International Taido Competitions For Over 50 Years.”
It Was A Milestone Moment For Uchida Kai-Cho, The Uchida Family, And U.S. Taido. A Special Thank You Goes Out To Councilman Sawyer And Councilman Christ.
