As the fitness gurus of the islands, I have a proposal for you Cross-Fitters that will test your will and force you to have an outsized social impact on your community.
We're hosting the 134-mile ever-so-fun team relay around Oahu called the Hoku Relay (www.hokurelay.com). The race has raised over $200,000 to support students on the Waianae Coast in the last 3 years. This year, we're going bigger. We would love if you could help us get the word out to your community of fit, goal-crushing super-athletes to see if any would be interested in taking on this feat.
The race is set for Feb 15-17, 2019. Hope to see some of you in a Safeway parking lot at 3am on Feb 16 stretching your cramping calves.

Well people may not see a difference in me, he'll I have days when I'm feeling weak and down on myself for not being as good as I expect myself to be. But I found my data from a year ago and it says more than anything that Crossfit is slowly fixing my body. I've always had trouble gaining weight( muscle and bone) and get sick very often. In this year I've managed to gain weight (7lbs). I've managed to lower my body fat (3%). I've managed to build my bones up too(6.5%). That's damn good for someone like myself.
Even if I end up moving off island, I'm definitely going to keep going in Crossfit and keep pushing these gains. No matter how small they may seem to some, for me they are big.
Thanks CFPC for not letting me quit even when I feel like a misfit and give up on myself. Seems like coach Sofie Ellen knows just when to send me a message to let me know she misses me and it's usually just what I need to get my butt back in the gym. Coach Ian Mcgill and Coach Sam thanks for holding me accountable and not letting me quit mid workout!!
