Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Pearland

Last week we celebrated Sophie & Thiago, two of our Mat Munchkins who earned their very first stripe! This is one of the most exciting steps in their journey. At this stage, it’s not just about techniques… it’s about building confidence, learning how to listen, developing coordination, and having FUN on the mats.
Our Mat Munchkins program is a weekly 30-min class designed to give these little ones a positive first experience with Jiu-Jitsu through games, movement, and simple self-defense concepts, all while reinforcing respect and focus.
We’re so proud of their hard work and can’t wait to see them keep growing!

Last night we celebrated our very first Mat Munchkin to earn a stripe — and we couldn’t be more proud!
We launched the program at the beginning of the year, and at just 3–5 years old, these kiddos are learning focus, confidence, and the joy of showing up with a big smile. Seeing one of our Munchkins earn that first stripe reminds us why this program matters so much.

Congratulations Theodore! Keep shining, keep trying, and keep having fun on the mats. This is just the beginning.

Huge congratulations to Aaron on earning his Gracie Combatives Belt and officially stepping into Master Cycle. This next chapter is where the art gets deeper, the details get sharper, and the growth becomes undeniable. Aaron shows up to practically every Junior Grapplers class to help his kids and others learn Jiu-Jitsu, and we are lucky to have him as part of our community. Proud of your consistency and the example you set on our mats. 🥋💪🏼
