Degenerates!

Thank you to everyone for coming out and celebrating our end of season awards last night! It's always fun being able to celebrate the season with everyone, and reflect on all the hard work that everyone put into disc golf. It's also been a while since we've done a trophy ceremony at MOD Pizza, which is always fun!

For those who were not able to attend, these were the trophy winners this year:

MA1 Points Champion: Jordan Madera
MA2 Points Champion: Jaron Neufeld
MA3 Points Champion: Kyler Mahan
For Fun Points Champion: Chantz Howell
Best Attendance: Austin Uresti
Most Improved: Johnny Saenz
Biggest Swing: Kyler Mahan
Most Consistent Degenerate: Alan Olinger
Least Consistent Degenerate: Jim Wiehoff
Most Average Degenerate: Paul Trautman
Highest Degenerate Rating: Austin Jordan
True Grit Award: Rob Smith

Make sure to congratulate each of them when you see them out on the course! We're looking forward to some fun in the offseason, and the weather is looking great this weekend, so get out and throw somewhere! Have a great day everyone!

Degenerates!

Today is indeed, Degenerateday! I'm coming off of a vacation so you know that means I'm refreshed and ready to roll with all of you! Let's see what we have on the plate for this week!

Tonight on Degenerateday, we're kicking off our offseason with Thursday Mini at Centennial (Back 9 - 3 Disc Challenge AND AWARDS SHOW). That's right, around here you know I'm all about letting all of you decide what you want to do. We're playing the back 9, and you can bring any 3 discs that you want. "But Jakob, I like to have 2 putters to switch between". I hope you really like whatever that third disc is! 5:30 signups, 6:00 tee off, and remember that we have reduced entry fees for 9 hole rounds ($5 for rec/int, $10 for adv)

One of the reasons for 9 holes tonight is to celebrate with our end of season awards! We'll be meeting at MOD Pizza on Pearland Parkway after our round to enjoy some pizza, fun, and to hand out some trophies! I hope you'll be able to stick around after the mini to celebrate with us.

We're reaching the end of the year, but there is a TON of disc golf happening in the area! This weekend, some of our Degenerate friends are headed down to Victoria for Rvierside Rumble VII hosted by ONESTAR, and locally there are a lot of Degenerates participating in the Baytown Disc Golf Festival by Gorilla Disc Golf Shop! Good luck to everyone competing this weekend, and make sure to submit your Degenerate Selfies!!

We also still have signups ready for our South Side Leftovers Classic and Challenger VII Memorial Open! Make sure to get signed up so we can plan accordingly!

It's going to be a great day, thank you for being a part of it with us! As always, please let me know if you have any suggestions or if there is anything that I can do to help!

Degenerates!

Something looms over the horizon. What is it? Why it's Degenerateday, always here for you at the end of the week, ushering in good times and a sense of freedom!

Tonight on Degenerateday, we have the epic conclusion of our onseason. We've got Thursday Mini at Centennial (Season Closer Edition)! It's full 18, it's B layout, and it's going to be a great time! 5:30 signups, 6:00 tee off. This will be your last chance to make a name for yourself and get some stats recorded for our end of year trophies!

Speaking of, for those of you who are newer with us, this is your reminder that just because the onseason is over, it does not mean Degenerateday is done for! I haven't missed a Thursday in over 200 weeks and we're not stopping now. Our offseason will include silly formats (putters only, blackjack, even speeds only, 2 disc challenge, etc) and in the past we have mixed between 9 hole rounds and 18 hole rounds. Next week, 10/15, we'll be doing a 9 hole round and then doing our end of year celebration with trophies! I hope to get you some pictures of that as we get closer.

Other things that are coming up, Saturday is the Fall Fest over at Vic Coppinger Family YMCA! 5-8pm, there will be games for the family, trick or treating, and most importantly, the Degenerate tent! Definitely come bring your family, and if you have any interest in helping out with the booth, please let me or Lawrence know!

Remember that we have our Southside Leftovers Classic signups live: https://www.discgolfscene.com/tournament/South_Side_Leftovers_Classic_2026

And also our Challenger VII Memorial Open!

Degenerates!

Happy Degenerateday everyone! It's a very special Degenerateday because it's also National Raccoon day! What better way to celebrate than by hanging out with your friends the Degenerates.

Today, we'll be playing disc golf as we usually do with Thursday Mini at Centennial (Wake Me Up Because September Ended Edition). We'll be playing the B layout, much to Old Man's chagrin. If anybody can help me out by moving the baskets before the mini, I would greatly appreciate it!

A brief reminder that next week will be the last week of our on-season, with the 15th being the first weekend of the off-season as well as a season closer party!

Looking at the weekend calendar, we're looking like we're pretty light on tournaments this weekend too! As always, if you're interested, make sure to go and check out our friends over at Friendswood Disc Golf Club on Friday.

Also make sure to keep on your calendar our two tournaments we are running to close out the year! South Side Leftovers Classic on November 7: https://www.discgolfscene.com/tournament/South_Side_Leftovers_Classic_2026

and also Challenger VII Memorial Open on December 5-6: https://www.discgolfscene.com/tournament/Challenger_VII_Memorial_Open_2026

As always, if there is anything that I can do to help, please don't hesitate to reach out! If you have any formats you're itching to play in the off-season, let me know as well!

Have a great day everyone. I know I'm excited to see all of you and play some disc golf with friends in the woods!

Degenerates!

Happy Degenerateday everyone! Degenerateday is just like a warm blanket. It's always there for you when you needed, provides comfort, and gets you through the day. Let's ignore that it's almost 100 degrees outside and the last thing you want right now is a blanket on top of that.

Tonight on Degenerateday, we have the continuation of our neverending tradition with Thursday Mini at Centennial (3 Weeks Until Offseason Edition)). This will be your last week to play the A layout before we move it back over to B! Word on the playground also is that JP is bringing a fancy CTP disc for tonight. 5:30 signups, 6:00 tee off, and of course we'll see you there!

You read that right, there are only a few weeks left of the onseason! We'll have the end of our traditional season on October 8, followed by our award ceremony and end of season party on October 15. For those of you who are newer, this does not mean we are done with Degenerateday. We haven't skipped a Thursday in years! We do, however, recognize that it is getting darker earlier, and we mix in some silly rulesets during the offseason (putters only, blackjack, skins, CTP mania), and in the past, we've mixed around with doing full 18 rounds and just 9 holes.

We're looking pretty quiet on the tournament scene for this weekend in South Houston, but there will be a Houston Disc Golf Sunday Funday Mini on Sunday morning! I believe it's the first time they've made it to our course in their rotation, so it would be nice to see if we can get some Degenerate participation!

As always, I'm grateful that all of you are here. You're what makes this club great, no matter what everyone else says! If there is anything that I can do to help out, please let me know. Have a super duper day everyone!

Happy Degenerateday everyone! It's a bit slower of a day, but it's still the best day of the week!

Tonight on Degenerateday, we've got the event that goes on no matter what, Thursday Mini at Centennial (No Fancy Title Edition). The ace pot was hit last week, so it's a little low, but you know what we do have? Lights, shenanigans, and heart! 5:30 signups, 6:00 tee off.

Other than that, we're looking pretty quiet! We're nearing the end of the season, we have signups for the South Side Leftovers Classic, all that good stuff.

As always, please let me know if you guys have any questions or comments! I hope you have a fantastic day and I absolutely look forward to seeing you tonight!

Degenerates!

Happy Degenerateday everyone! The temperatures seem to be cooling down a little bit today, which is absolutely fantastic! There's also a ton of stuff going on in the world of disc golf, so let's dive in!

Today, on Degenerateday, we salute a man. An Old Man. He's getting one year older, if that's possible. It's Thursday Mini at Centennial (Happy Birthday Old Man Edition). We're playing the A layout (Old Man's favorite), we'll have some homemade goodies from Sabrina, and of course we'll have disc golf as well! Come on out and have a great time with your friends out at the course. 5:30 signups, 6:00 tee off.

On Saturday, we're celebrating the Parker's having a baby with Stewart Parker Diaper Mini!. It'll be a doubles round at Centennial, and you can either bring a partner or get matched with one at the event! $20 (or 2 boxes of diapers) per team gets you an entry, and you get a disc, lunch, a chance at a bunch of CTPs, and more! Signups at 8:30am, teeing off at 9am!

And then of course a little bit further out, we have the South Side Leftovers Classic on November 7! One round at Stevenson and one round at Centennial for a low price, some dope player's pack discs, and a bunch of CTPs! https://www.discgolfscene.com/tournament/South_Side_Leftovers_Classic_2026

As always, please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help! I look forward to seeing all of you out tonight! Have a great day everyone!

Degenerates!

I want to get this one on your calendar now! As you may know, we have a handful of leftover discs from previous tournaments this year (Chainsaw Classic, Briscoe Open, etc). And what do you do with leftovers? You reheat them and serve them up! I'm here to present to you the South Side Leftovers Classic on Saturday, November 7.

For AMs, you get two, count 'em two rated rounds (Centennial and Stevenson) for $20. In return, you get one of our leftover players pack discs, a Waffle House coupon, a King Ranch Texas Kitchen Coupon, Stickers, and more if we can get some goodies! Even reheated, I don't know where you can get that kind of value anywhere else! Also, we have JP Oliver co-TDing this event, which I am very happy to present as well!

This will be a trophy only event, so no official payout for this one. We're mainly trying to recoup the cost of our discs we paid for in previous tournaments.

And when do signups go live for this great event? Howabout right now?! That's right signups are live right now for the South Side Leftovers Classic.

As always, please let me know if you have any comments or questions and have a great day!
