Degenerates!
Happy Degenerateday! What a day it absolutely is today. We of course are going to be doing my favorite thing of the week, Thursday Mini at Centennial (It Might Be Wet Edition). Join us tonight at 6pm to play the B layout! If anybody gets to the course early and can help move the baskets/flip the mando signs, I would greatly appreciate it. Our ace pot is also officially full again.
Remember as well that we have our updated ratings for the month! I'll have the list available at signups tonight in case you forget or try to sneak through!
Short and sweet but that's all it takes sometimes! I look forward to seeing all of you out tonight, let's go have some fun!

Degenerates!
Hey unlike the calendar of yore, I'm pretty on time with this new monthly post! It's the first Tuesday of the month, so you know that means it is Degenerate Ratings Day!
You'll see that people have been shuffling along as they got comfortable in the A layout. Remember that this week we'll be switching Centennial to the B layout for June! A notable update in the stats for transparency: Previously, we were tracking the last 5 rounds and dropping the worst score. Now that the season is kicking full in gear, we are using a tiered system. If you have 5 or less rounds played, we use those rounds and drop the worst one. If you have more than 5 rounds played, then stats will account for up to 10 rounds played, and then drop the lowest 2 rounds.
Reminder as well for our friends in the advanced division that once you hit that 1075 Degenerate Rating, you'll start to take on a handicap stroke per 10 points above the line you are. This helps our friends on the bubble of Advanced still feel in the heat of the competition as well!
As always, please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help, or if you have any questions! Have a great day everyone!

Degenerates!
Happy happy Degenerateday everyone! It's nice to be able to take a small breather from the undertaking that is Chainsaw Classic, but you know what we will never take a break from? Degenerateday!
Today at Degenerateday, we'll be back to our usual stuff with Thursday Mini at Centennial (There may be mosquitos Edition). It's the last chance in May to play the A layout before we switch to B next week, and we're also in the last round before we do a ratings update!
Do note that tonight we will have leftover Chainsaw Classic discs available for purchase at $15 a piece. We still have Cashes (low supply), Threads, and Vibes available. You won't find those discs at a better price anywhere else!
Looking at DiscGolfScene, there are so many events coming up in June. Hopefully you're able to get out, have some fun, and of course, wear your Degenerate swag while taking some selfies!
As always, please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help, we'll have a great time doing great things together!

One more Chainsaw Classic follow up post!
Our legendary Snack Czar JP was able to give a thank you gift to Waffle House #2076 and Sonic of Friendswood for helping us provide a great experience for all of you!!
Also don't expect to see any trace of us out on the course, equally legendary Tournament Steward Mikey made sure the signs, ob, and flags were all picked up!
Have a great day everyone, and we will see you soon!

Well that was a day! Hopefully you've had a chance to dry off and warm up. We definitely had a roller coaster of a day, filled with friends, laughs, and a little (lot) of precipitation. Plus I got to use an air horn multiple times, so there's a plus!
Let's shout out some of the absolute dope things that happened, and our winners!
In the first few holes of the tournament, we had not one, but two aces! David Hood aced hole 14, and David Glover aced hole 8! Definitely a good day to be named David!

Thank you to Hooligan Discs for making our dope event discs!
Thank you to Tyler Kovacs for designing our sweet logo!
Thank you to Alex Lacamu for making our unique, awesome trophies!
Thank you to my admin team for helping make this event something that we wanted to be proud of. There's a ton behind the scenes of a tournament you might not know about!
Thank you to everyone who helped out today. Putting out a sign/ctp flag, friendly hello means a lot! We were scrambling in the morning because of the gates being open later than expected.
And of course, thank you to all of you players who played in the event! For those of you who haven't played in a mini or tournament with us before, be warned that means you are now lumped in with the Degenerate family!
I have a survey here that I would greatly appreciate if you could take the time to fill out. It's not very long, but we want to take ideas from here and use them going forward. There's also a spot to note ideas for a future event to fill in the gaps that we missed this afternoon.

We're at the end of Chainsaw Classic Sponsor Alerts.
Just because our last two friends do not have a logo, it does not make them any less important! We're here to thank Joey Gutierrez ( #135357) and Justin Wood ( #214641).
Joey Gutierrez has been a friend of the Pearland Disc Golf Degenerates since when I started playing in tournaments (yes there was a time). He was on my card at the 38th Annual Victoria Open in 2021. For those of you who remember that tournament, it was COLD. Joey laughed along as Sabrina was caddying for me, both of us absolutely miserable and frozen. Throughout the following years, Joey has always been there to participate or support anything we have been about!
Justin Wood has also been a friend of the Pearland Disc Golf Degenerates for a very long time. You can always catch him from across the field, because he's really tall. He's always there as a friendly face and is really encouraging to his cardmates. He's also one of the reasons that Old Man is as into disc golf as he is now! Plus every time he says hello to me he says "What's up J", which always makes you feel cool.
Thank you very much for your support of the Chainsaw Classic Joey and Justin!!

This post we're shouting out Johnny Saenz with Bay Area Paint & Tile!
If you've been around our minis this year, you definitely know Johnny and his work truck! He's a terrific player out on the course and he's here to help with lots of your needs. From interior/exterior paint, designer kitchen baths, flooring, carpentry, power washing, gutter cleaning, and repair work (just to name a few things!), Johnny and his crew absolutely have you covered!
Thank you very much for your support of the Chainsaw Classic Johnny Saenz and Bay Area Paint & Tile!

Chainsaw Classic Sponsor Alert!
This post we're shouting out two of the members of our friendly admin team!
Richard Vogel ( #136195) and JP Oliver ( #288217) are some stand up lads who do lots to help make sure all of you have a great experience out in casual rounds, minis, our tournaments and more.
Rich has been with us since the very beginning, listening to my crazy ideas, letting me use his garage to paint tee markers, and having all the tools needed for the job, no matter what. Plus he definitely knows his way around a barbecue!
JP is newer to the disc golf scene and newer to the PDGD admin team, but he's absolutely hit the ground running. He's been dubbed the "Snack Czar" for all of our events this year, so when you fill up with water or snacks at any of our 7 refill stations tomorrow, definitely give thanks to the Snack Czar!
Thank you Rich and JP for supporting the Chainsaw Classic!
