Summer Workshop Series Faculty Announcement!!

Valeria Canas is a dancer, choreographer, and educator from Miami, Florida, now based in Houston, Texas. She began dancing at age four and was a member of the nationally recognized Coral Reef Senior High School dance team. Since starting her choreography career in 2020, she has built a reputation for creating impactful, award-winning routines. Represented by Tribe 99 Agency, Valeria has worked with dance teams, collegiate programs, and studios across the country, served as a guest teacher for Streetz Dance Convention, and judged dance competitions nationwide. Her work has earned multiple Best Choreography awards and National Championship titles. She is passionate about helping dancers grow both technically and artistically while creating meaningful and memorable performance experiences.

Summer Workshop Series Faculty Announcement!!

Karen is a versatile dancer trained in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, pom, ballroom, and more. An undefeated Ballroom Champion from 2015–2020, she continues to compete and place as a finalist at top ballroom competitions nationwide.

She is the founder of Ballroom Dance Company, LLC, owner of Motion Dance Center in Houston, and founder of the Miracle Dance Foundation, which provides dance opportunities and scholarships for young dancers. Through her leadership, teaching, and passion for the arts, Karen continues to inspire and empower dancers of all ages.

Summer Workshop Series Faculty Announcement!!

Dani Burren is a Houston native and graduate of the Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. She earned her BFA in Dance with a concentration in Modern Dance from Point Park University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. A versatile performer, Dani is trained in Horton, Graham, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, ballet, and tap. During her time at Point Park, she performed works by renowned choreographers including Roderick George, Camille A. Brown, Omar De Jesús, and Paul Taylor. She has also expanded her training through programs such as SpringboardX, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, and BODYTRAFFIC. Dani is recognized for her versatility and strong artistic ability, particularly within contemporary and modern dance styles.

Summer Workshop Series Faculty Announcement!!

Simone is a hybrid artist from Pearland, Texas, who began her dance training at Precision Dance Academy. She continued her studies at Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and is currently pursuing a degree at the prestigious USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance.

As a Professional Assistant for Hollywood Vibe and Hollywood Dance Jamz, Simone has toured nationally, mentoring young dancers. Her commercial credits include work with choreographers such as Tessandra Chavez, Tyce Diorio, and Jillian Meyers, as well as collaborations with Coca-Cola and Hommey. She has appeared in music videos for Tems and Ludacris, including Ludacris’s recent video Pull Up. Simone continues to grow her career as a performer, educator, and artist while training at one of the nation’s top collegiate dance programs.

Summer Workshop Series Faculty Announcement!!

Madison Manning is an aspiring commercial dancer from Houston, TX. She is currently a second year BFA Modern dance student at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA and a graduate of the Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, TX.

Madison started competitively dancing at the young age of 5 at TopFlight Dance in Katy, TX under the direction of Jonnesha Hawkins-Minter and immediately fell in love with the art form. She trained at TopFlight for 12 years in all styles of dance before transitioning to Artistic Soul Dance Company under the direction of Jade Whitmire. While in high school, Madison also spent many weekends training at The Dance Artist Prep (TDA Prep) in Chicago under the mentorship of Preston Miller and Jacqueline Green Miller.

She was named one of the 2024 CITGO Distinguished Scholars under the Performing Arts category and was also selected as the 2021 Hollywood Vibe National Teen Dancer of the Year. She now tours with Hollywood Vibe Dance Convention as one of their Pro Company Members. Madison has performed works by Roderick George, Sidra Bell, Kevin & Marcel Wilson, Bridget L. Moore, Brandon Coleman, Zack Tang, Parker Esse, Michael Foley, and Charles O. Anderson.
