duck and fishing area. The population of Pecan Island is
approximately 300. White Lake is located merely steps
behind the lodge and the waterway access to the Gulf of Mexico
is across the street providing our guest with magnificent views
from all of the windows. This one of a kind facility is formerly the 39,000 square foot
Pecan Island School that was closed due to lack of families
living in the area. Each classroom is now a private suite with its own bathroom. The Cafeteria now has state of the art commercial appliances. The basketball courts flooring has been re-finished and there is
a pool table as well as an outdoor cinder walking track. Renovated with preservation in mind, the original artwork
of former students line the hallway.

Today, the JohnPac team is delivering boxes, along with totes, bleach, disinfectant wipes, towels, and bottled water to support families and communities affected by the devastating flooding in Avoyelles Parish.

This donation was coordinated by our own Emily Chiasson, who also proudly serves as the 2026 Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals Queen. We're incredibly proud of her for helping make this effort possible and for giving back to fellow Louisianans in a meaningful way.

Our hearts are with everyone affected, and we hope these supplies help support the recovery efforts ahead.
