Tomorrow Lauren Jones runs 100 miles through the Arizona desert.

Javelina Jundred. Bib 400. Halloween.

Aravaipa named her a top contender. She’s earned it. She’s been sub-24 at Western States, run 154 miles in 24 hours, and raced for Team USA.

She runs for grilled cheese. The good one is at mile 100.

Go get it, Lauren. We’ll be watching every split.

Alec Cline runs 100 miles through the desert tomorrow.

On Halloween.

In pepper tights. He wears them to every big race. We stopped asking.

Ranked #12 in last year’s UltraRunner of the Year rankings. Aravaipa has him on their list of contenders. His friends call him the alien because he recovers like he’s from somewhere else.

We just make sure nothing rubs.

They come out of the woods one at a time. Some laughing. Some jumping. Some just staring at their watch.

Fill the bottle. Get out. Go finish.

The sun came up on your 24-hour men’s podium. 🌄

John took the men’s lead early Saturday afternoon and never gave it back. Through the night he only stretched it, finishing five laps clear of the field at the first-ever Smoky Mountain 24 Hour Challenge. Ryan stayed relentless for second, and Josh edged Marc Buhrmaster for the final podium spot after both men finished on the same lap.
