Déconcertante,surprenante, secouante et mouillante

Serait-ce cela le sentiment de pure nostalgie?
Tremper mes oreillers à cause du manque urgent
C’est donc cela la magie unique de ma patrie?
Amener ses enfants au désarroi accablant!

Haiti, terre de mon sang, mon point de repère!
Existe-t-il une date limite à mon calvaire?
Cap-Haïtien, mon refuge, part de mon essence

Certains diraient que mes hormones me jouent des tours
D’autres ne comprendraient pas que ce genre d’amour lourd
