NATIONAL ANTHEM TRYOUTS! 🇺🇸🎤

Friendly reminder! National Anthem tryouts will be held TOMORROW, August 5th, at 5:30 PM in the Pendleton Round-Up Arena. A sign-in sheet will be available by the bucking chutes, and auditions will be held on a first-come, first-served basis.

Some stories are bigger than rodeo. Wishing Ghostship Warrior strength on the road to recovery!

Ghostship Warrior was one of the brightest young bucking bulls in the sport. Then, in a matter of seconds during the NFR Open finals, everything changed. The Phenom Genetics bull shattered his tibia on July 18, leaving his owner, Matt Scharping, with few options.

But Scharping refused to give up before getting the bull back home to Minnesota. And on that ride home, Ghostship showed signs he was willing to fight.

"I was like, 'You don't want to die. You're not giving up, which means I'm not giving up either,'" Scharping said.

Now Ghostship is at a vet in Texas, beginning a long road toward recovery. His journey is far from over, but Scharping is doing everything he can to give the champion a chance.

“We don’t know how it’s going to turn out,” Scharping said. “But at the end of the day, I want to know I did everything I possibly could for him because he deserves that.”

In honor of Tim Hawkins and his Celebration of Life, the Pendleton Round-Up administrative will close tomorrow at 4:30 p.m.

Our Retail Store will remain open until 6:00 p.m. as regularly scheduled.

A Celebration of Life honoring Tim will be held tomorrow, July 30, at 5:00 p.m. at the Pendleton Convention Center.

Thank you for your understanding as we take this time to honor Tim's life and legacy.
