We offer instruction in Classical Ballet, Pointe, Pas de Deux, Modern, Jazz, and Tap. All students received a generous amount of personal attention.

Welcome to
North Bay Performing Arts Center - Contessi Ballet

North Bay Performing Arts Center offers instruction in classic Ballet, Pointe, Pas de Deux, Hip Hop, Jazz, Modern, Tap and Gypsy dance. Marcella Contessi Smith, who founded the Contessi Ballet School 37 years ago, created North Bay Performing Arts Center. NBPAC has highly talented, professionally trained and experienced teachers in the performing arts. We are proud of the excellent reputation we have built and are dedicated to maintaining high quality training at our school. Instruction methods and techniques are based on the firm belief that every student has something to offer and learning should be fun and exciting! It is important that each student develop a sense of self confidence and self-esteem. We recognize the potential in each child and work very hard to assist the students in developing to their fullest.

Contessi Ballet School is celebrating 50 years of dance, and you may have noticed this new feature outside our studio doors. Under new leadership, we are looking ahead to an exciting new chapter focused on growing our studio, welcoming new dancers, and expanding our impact in the community.

We are seeking program sponsors for our upcoming winter production, Clara’s Enchanted Dream, as well as ongoing fundraising to help us achieve important goals throughout the year.

Your generosity will help us create meaningful performance opportunities, welcome dancers who may not otherwise have access to classical ballet, and bring more arts and community events to Sonoma County.

Every contribution helps us honor our 50-year legacy while building a vibrant, inclusive future for the next generation of dancers. Thank you for considering supporting our mission!
