Every job comes with days where you really just don’t feel like doing it. Today is one of those days for me.
I got some bad news from the vet today, and unfortunately things aren’t looking good for my dog. Even though there’s not much I can personally do to change what’s happening, I find myself spending the day going through everything in my head — wondering what I could have done differently, hoping I’ll suddenly think of something that could help, and searching for an answer that I haven’t found.
But today also reminded me of one of the things I love most about running Appalachian Asenso.
I’m going to be miserable today regardless of where I am or what I’m doing. But watching a family bring their daughter in to celebrate her birthday, seeing her smile, watching them have fun together and hearing the laughter throughout the building — it helps more than I can really explain.
The smiles, the fun and the laughter are contagious.
So to everyone who has come through our doors, supported us, brought your kids, celebrated a birthday, played a round of mini golf or battled it out in laser tag — thank you. You probably don’t realize it, but the good times you have here can mean a lot more to us than just another sale.
And to all of the churches who have reached out to us and offered your support, I would genuinely appreciate your prayers for my dog and my family right now.
❤️ Thank you for being part of Appalachian Asenso.
