Mountain Brook Mountain Biking Team

As the season wraps up, we must take a moment to reflect on our two graduating Seniors, James Inscoe and Perry Stringfellow, and what they have meant to our team over their five seasons of racing with us. Our coaches and their teammates described James as thoughtful, wise, dependable, supportive, of unparalleled consistency and as having a “team-first” mentality. Perry was noted to be an outstanding leader, motivated, patient, an example, fiercely competitive and as an athlete with a strong work ethic. Their absence will be felt at MBCT but we are thrilled for what their future schools will gain! James will attend Auburn University and Perry has an appointment to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Best of luck guys and GSG always! 💚💛💚 ACAmtb

Last weekend Mountain Brook Cycling Team competed in the ACA State Championship at Tannehill State Park! The trails and competition were tough but our riders rose to the occasion and had a great time along the way. It was a fantastic two days of racing and great way to finish out the season! 💪🏻🚵🏅

Our team had a terrific time tackling the trails in Tuscaloosa last weekend at race #4! 😁 Congrats to all our racers for a job well done. 💪🏻 The Extra Grit Award goes to Braxton Seligson who finished the JV1 race despite a broken handle bar! 🏆

In March, several of our athletes lined up with the best young North American mountain bike riders at the Walmart Pro Cup XCO Junior Series + UCI in Fayetteville, AR. Jack Barrett rode with coaching and Robert Stringfellow rode for They tackled a challenging course and got a taste for national and international competition. Strong work, guys! 💪🏻

Our middle and high school athletes finished out Spring Break by laying it all out on the trails at Race 3 in Anniston!! Each rider finished strong and some fought through mechanicals and cramping, we are so proud of everyone! 💪🏻 Congrats to our top 10 finishers in their respective races: Robert Stringfellow P3

Sunday was the HS riders’ turn to race in Pensacola!! They left it all on the trail and had a little fun along the way.
