As the holidays come to a close and a new year begins - we celebrate our staff here at Perdido Bay Golf Club. Here is a 🔙 to the employee Christmas party filled with laughter, smiles, and plenty of drinks 🍹

Meet Rhonda

Rhonda is one of our bartenders who hails from Minnesota. She moved here to Florida in 2022 to escape the snow ❄️ Growing up she wanted to follow her father’s footsteps and start a career in teaching. Her kindness and love lead her to a career in customer service that aids in special needs, Domestic Violence shelters, teen centers, etc. When asked about what she is proud of - Rhonda stated her competitive work ethic and drive to help others.

Rhonda has been a bartender here at Perdido Bay Golf Club for 2 years. Her favorite part of working here are the customers and the staff!! One of her favorite funny moments is when she called the boss, Paul, a pumpkin! “He always wears those bright orange shirts, and I said HELLO PUMPKINNNNN” 🎃😂

Meet Mr. Ken Bender,

Mr. Bender was born in Illinois but has lived here in Florida for many years. Growing up in Illinois he wanted to be like his father and be a car mechanic. He instead went to college and received a degree in chemistry 🧪 After college, Mr. Bender worked for a corn syrup plant and received several promotions where he retired after 22 years as a night shift “lieutenant” - overseeing 800 employees!!

His favorite hobby has always been golfing. He has golfed for more than 40 years 🏌️‍♂️⛳️ Mr. Bender is a staple here at Perdido Bay Golf Club and has been a Marshal for 20 years! His favorite part of his job is the people he gets to meet and know.

His funniest memory here at Perdido Bay Golf Club was when a sheriff drove their patrol vehicle on the greens of hole #1 responding to a call 🚨🚔

If you see Mr. Bender working, look for his designated style - his Fedora hat 🎩. Thank you Mr. Bender for all your hard work and sweet style.
