Lifelong angler raised fishing the East Coast with family, I later spent 5 years in the USCG fishing Alaska’s remote waters for halibut, cod, and salmon.

After 5 years as a charter mate alongside my father, I’m now proud to captain my own charters.

This crew showed up looking like they were headed to a rodeo, but they had no problem trading horses for fishing rods. They brought plenty of laughs, good company, and made the most of a great morning on the water.

The inshore bite stayed steady, and even this little shark couldn't resist joining the party for a quick photo with these Saltwater Cowboys.

Days like these are what it's all about—good people, a little sunshine, and making memories on the water. Thanks for fishing with Salty Adventures II, looking forward to having y'all back for your next trip offshore!

📸 Weekly Recap 🎣

What a week it's been!

We kept the boat iced down and moving with double trips nearly every day, and when the seas cooperate, there's no better place to be than out on the Gulf. The weather lined up, the fish showed up, and our customers made the most of it.

The inshore bite stayed strong all week. We had everyone from first-time anglers catching their very first fish to lifelong fishermen putting together impressive catches taking home tons of trout. Seeing those smiles never gets old.

Offshore was just as memorable. We welcomed everyone from full families with multiple generations making memories together to groups of friends escaping for a day on the water. Every trip had its own story, and that's what makes this job so rewarding.

The fish certainly showed up this week too. We filled the cameras with giant mangrove snapper, keeper red snapper, king mackerel, dozens of cobia, hard-fighting amberjack, and some absolute football-sized vermilion snapper. It was one of those weeks that reminds you just how special our fishery is.

To everyone who climbed aboard this week —especially the group of guys whose wives sent them out to sea for the day so they could go shopping — thank you for trusting us with your time on the water. We appreciate every single one of you, and we hope the memories last long after the fish are cleaned.

If this week's recap has you ready to get out there, we'd love to have you aboard. Summer is in full swing, the fishing is outstanding, and dates are filling quickly. Send us a message or use the booking link in our bio to reserve your trip.

Here's to another great week on the Gulf! ⚓

The Gulf had a little attitude this trip. 🌊

Conditions were definitely a touch rowdier than the forecast called for, but the Hicks crew wasn't backing down on their first offshore adventure. A quick puke and rally and they were back in the game putting fat mingos and some monster bluefish in the box.

Not every day offshore is a boat ride in the bay like these folks are used to, but they proved they've got what it takes.

Great attitudes, plenty of laughs, and some fresh fish headed home.

That's a successful first offshore trip in my book. 🎣

🌊 While Mother Nature has kept us at the dock this week, we're looking back at a few highlights from last week's trips.

One crew staying at our local condo joined us for a night trip and left as friends. The fishing was outstanding, with the group nearly limiting out on snapper and putting a pile of jumbo vermilion snapper—the footballs—in the box. Between the nonstop action and an incredible Gulf sunset, it was a trip to remember. In fact, they're already counting down the days until their next trip with us.

We also had the pleasure of taking a local father and son fishing as an early Father's Day surprise. Dad put a stud mangrove snapper in the boat along with a few tasty mingos for the cooler, making for a special day on the water and memories that will last a lifetime.

The weather hasn't given us much of a break this week, but calmer seas are coming. We can't wait to get back offshore, put some fresh fish in the box, and make more memories with great people.

Three generations of the Pruitt family joined me on the water today for a quick trip offshore! It was a slow pick for most of the trip, and a couple of the crew members even battled a little seasickness, but everyone hung in there and kept a great attitude.

Just when it looked like we'd have to settle for a quiet day, the trip took a turn. While reeling in the very last line of the day, this 35-inch cobia showed up and gave the crew one final shot of excitement. At 35 inches, it missed the keeper mark by just one inch—a true heartbreaker.

The fish may have waited until the final moments to cooperate, but that's all part of the game. A beautiful day on the water, three generations fishing together, and a cobia that made sure the trip ended with a story worth telling.

Not every trip is about filling the box—sometimes it's about good company, a few quality hookups, and enjoying a beautiful morning on the water.

The fish kind of cooperated today, keeping us busy enough to stay entertained and giving us a few good battles along the way. Most importantly, everyone had a great time and made some memories in the Gulf.

As an added bonus, we caught a Blue Angels practice on the ride back to the dock, which is always a pretty cool way to end a trip in Pensacola.

Thanks for spending the morning with Salty Adventures II!

Another double-header in the books for Salty Adventures II yesterday! 🎣☀️

We kicked off the morning with a smooth ride offshore and a relaxing day on the water. The fishing was steady with some great fights, but the wildlife may have stolen the show. We spent time watching dolphins play alongside the boat, had a visit from a sea turtle that was easily pushing 100 years old, and even spotted a small hammerhead shark cruising the surface in search of its next meal.

The afternoon brought a little more wind, but that didn't stop this crew from heading offshore in search of a prize. Their determination paid off with a stud mangrove snapper and a nice haul of vermilion snapper headed home for a well-earned fish fry.

From dolphins and sea turtles to quality fish and great company, yesterday was a reminder of why we love what we do.

Double Header Success for Salty Adventures II! 🎣

Yesterday was one for the books with back-to-back 6-hour offshore trips!

Our morning crew put together a 4-man limit of fat vermilion snapper and topped it off with a giant 40-inch amberjack that put up an incredible fight.
As the winds eased and the seas settled, we headed back out with an afternoon group of first-time offshore anglers. What followed was nothing short of phenomenal! The crew loaded the box with red snapper, vermilion snapper, mahi, and landed multiple 25+ inch cobia, creating memories they'll never forget.

There’s nothing better than watching new anglers experience the excitement of offshore fishing and seeing the smiles that come with a successful day on the water.

A huge thank you to both groups for choosing Salty Adventures II. We’re looking forward to the next adventure!

Gulf Grind Pays Off 🎣

8 hours in the Gulf with an awesome crew that came ready to fish! The water was a little sporty, but they stuck it out and absolutely crushed it — filling the box with multiple species of snapper and topping the trip off with a beautiful Mahi-Mahi.

Great attitudes, great memories, and even better fishing. Another solid day on the water with Salty Adventures II
