Lots of work is going on over at Whitley County Bate Store getting ready for their opening on the 15th Of May 26. Be sure to stop in and get your supplies for a great days fishing!

Just dropped off an order to Whitley County Bait Store in Columbia City Indiana.. The store is scheduled to open mid May 2026. They will have a selection of live and artificial baits available. I'm excited to see a new tackle store in the area. When they get an exact opening date I will let everyone know so you can stop by and check out their selections of tackle.

I have been getting a lot of call for live bait lately. If you are in Adam's or Wells County Indiana there just isn't many choices unless you want Walmart worms. If you are looking for a decent selection of live baits try Hook and Arrow in Fort Wayne near Banditos south on Wi******er Rd or Bud's in Huntington on the corner of Hwy 224 and Hwy 5. Both places have a good selection of baits. Hook and Arrow can also take care of all your Bow hunting and fishing needs while Bud's can take care of all your fi****ms hunting and shooting needs. If you go be sure to tell them Todd from Red Oak Jigs recommend them.

Did a little fishing this morning. Used the Red Oak Jigs weedless finesse jig and a PB&J Money Mouth Baits Gobbet. It was a good morning of fishing and trying new spots. I might try it again tomorrow.
