This summer, I had the opportunity to lead stretching and conditioning classes with my Ballet Pensacola students. These dancers have been stretching their entire lives, but that doesn’t mean the extra work isn’t necessary. Targeted mobility and strength-based stretching helps maintain and improve muscle health, preventing tension and pain under intense training. The stronger our muscles, the lower the risk of injury. Improving overall mobility also enhances body coordination, a crucial element for any dancer, on and off stage. 💪🩰✨
