Caught up with Kris Markovich while he was putting in work on the new mural at BrownBagger | Alga - always rad seeing a Pensacola local legend shift mediums but keep that same energy.

From the board to the wall, Kris brought something special to the space… stoked to have been there for it.

Shooting skateboarding has been part of my journey for decades. Capturing those raw, honest moments and reworking them onto recycled, repurposed skateboard decks feels like honoring the culture while giving it new life. What once hit the pavement now carries history forward — transformed, preserved, and renewed with purpose.

Grateful to The Makerspace at UWF for providing the space and tools to help bring this full-circle process to life.

So grateful for everyone who jumped in to help make this happen.
Through a few recent Valet Goods–hosted events, we were able to collect donated gear and build 13 complete skateboards that’ll start getting put to use next month through youth programs.

Part of the appeal of aerosol writing for Phase 2 was that it allowed him to get his name known yet remain anonymous. This pioneer from the Bronx is credited with creating the bubble letter style of graffiti. While he is no longer anonymous, he has used his success to now give back— both to charity and our communities.
