It’s amazes me on how when I started choreographing and creating my Line Dance Music back in 1996, and followed up with my Brothers Mr. C the Cha Cha Slide Man (R.I.P), Dj Meastro “Mr. Turbo Hustle” and Cupid Cupid we was told Line Dance Music is just a Novelty Song & Dance, it’s just a Fad, everyone is NOT going to play it, Line Dancing is just for weddings etc etc.. (I heard it all)

To Now in 2025 The Entire World is onto Line Dancing! Damn near every Artist in R&B and Soul is trying to do, or have someone make a Line Dance to “All”their Songs (lol), and now more and more Line Dance Groups and Line Dance Classes “OUTSIDE of our Already Line Dance Community” it’s popping up all over state to state! Some doing it right and a lot is F’in it up!

This what people needs to know and understand! Line Dancing is a Culture, It’s a Movement, it’s not a fly by night, just something to do, because you see everyone is on it and you want to capitalize off our Culture! If your going to try and come into our world, at lease know how to Line Dance, know the terms, know the Culture, know the Tradition, learn the History, and know the unwritten rules on the do’s and don’t.

RESPECT THE CULTURE & RESPECT THE MOVEMENT!

Go participate in your local line dance classes that been around for over 10 plus years, just don’t go and learn a couple of dances, then think you can go start your own line Dance Class and talk Sh*t on the Veteran Instructors and Choreographers along with the Classes in your city that been around for years…

Don’t step on Line Dance Choreographers toes, meaning these Choreographers put in their hard work and sweat creating Line Dances to songs they chose from researching different songs and checking if its already a Line Dance created to it. Now their dances and the songs been popping for well OVER 5 plus years in our community… and then you decide to go and create a totally different dance to the exact same song (smh) and even taking the movements and steps from the ORIGINAL and calling it a BRAND NEW LINE DANCE created by yourself.

And to even be more disrespectful, you try to talk down on the Original Line Dance saying “YOU DONT LIKE IT” when it’s already over 1000’s of people who been doing it for “YEARS” but now all of a sudden YOU don’t like it so you’re going to make another dance to it, and call yours BRAND NEW and yours is the OFFICIAL dance to the song. (SMH)

I can go on and on … but the more I talk on it, the more I want to add, but imma chill for a sec. lol.
