This week parents are coming in to observe classes. Sometimes you have to make them get up and dance too! 💃🏽
My wild ones! They sure can dance though.
This group has a special place in my heart. Some of them have been with me from the beginning of the Ballroom program at LaBelle and most of this group graduated in 2020. I wish them all the very best and miss them so much. Time to start training the next generation and the ones that I still get to keep for a little bit longer.
Dance classes begin today at LaBelle Performing Arts-
Ballroom for age 14+ requires teacher approval.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the Moms who drive their dancers to endless classes and rehearsals, make dinner on the fly, help with homework in the car and in between classes, have learned hair and makeup skills they never knew they had, glued rhinestones, mended costumes, fixed bloody toes, wiped tears, laughed with other dance families and cheered on their sweet kids as they pour their little hearts out on stage. I love teaching your kids and they couldn’t do it without you! 💗💃🏽 🕺🏻

Dear Parents and Students:
I know these are uncertain times, and we hope that the following information will address some of your questions regarding May classes and recital. The current guidance from the State of Florida does not allow us to reopen the studio for in-person classes. My staff and I have developed three options that will address our plans for re-opening and recital depending on when the state allows us to return to the studio. Music students and teachers will make decisions on a case-by-case basis regarding the return to in-person lessons once the studio is reopened. Of course, our primary concern is the safety of our students, their families, and our staff.
At this time, an in-person recital at the Saenger is unfeasible, and we are forced to find other options for our June shows. We will miss the stage and the live performance, but my staff and I are driven to give our students a great memory to take away from all of this. We feel our students deserve closure on their dance year, so we will not just end classes without some kind of performance. They have worked too hard to not be seen and recognized. My staff and I have thought long and hard about what would be the best way to produce a quality show with all these restrictions we are facing. Trust me, it has not been easy. With prayers and in depth thought we are now excited to create a prerecorded show, which will be streamed online, for our students, friends, and families. This video production will take a great deal of creativity and time from our staff, but we are very excited for this opportunity to create a new platform to showcase our students hard work and talents. Our first priority is the students and how to recognize their year of accomplishments and improvements, all while keeping them safe.
We have come up with three options which are based on when we get the go-ahead from the state to reopen. We have also offered an option for students that are not able or do not feel comfortable coming to the studio to still participate in the recital.
We are so proud of the students for sticking with their craft through all of this and the commitment we have seen. Thank you to the parents for continuing to support and pray for us! I know this has been very hard on you as well. I am looking forward to the return! I miss the kids, and I miss my staff. I can’t wait for summer classes and Strive Intensive. I know the energy, passion, and the desire to be in the studio is going to be amazing! I am also looking forward to the opening of LaBelle Academy of the Arts in the fall and just seeing where all that leads. It’s been an odd time for us all but it’s been a restart in more ways than one. I am praying over this video project and the blessings it will bring. My staff and I just want our kids to walk away from this with a memory that will eventually bring a smile to their faces. Corona won’t get the best of this dance year! Creativity and determination always win!
Love and miss You!
