Jared Hatch Leads Dirty Birds Past Pirates
Jared Hatch collected three hits in three at bats, as Dirty Birds defeated Pirates 12-0 on Sunday at 2750 Longleaf Dr, Pensacola, FL 32526. Hatch tripled in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the sixth inning.
Dirty Birds scored eight runs in the sixth inning on the way to victory. Paul Guy Sr singled, scoring one run, Ryan Mefford was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, John Hemstead singled, scoring two runs, Chris Veninga singled, scoring one run, Tyler Wood drew a walk, scoring one run, Hatch drew a walk, scoring one run, and Eric Vogt drew a walk, scoring one run.
Dirty Birds jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Hatch tripled, scoring two runs, and Vogt singled, scoring one run.
Wood started the game for Dirty Birds. The righty surrendered five hits and zero runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking one. Don Lauderdale began the game for Pirates. The starting pitcher surrendered 13 hits and 11 runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out none and walking three. Vogt appeared in relief for Dirty Birds.
Dirty Birds piled up 13 hits in the game. Nick Edele and Veninga each collected multiple hits for Dirty Birds. Hatch stole two bases. Dirty Birds worked the count all day, piling up six walks. Dirty Birds ran wild on the base paths, accumulating four stolen bases for the game.
Terry McClain Jr went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Pirates in hits. Pirates turned one double play in the game.

Jaylen Helton Drives In 5 To Lead IronPigs Past Wood Wranglers
Jaylen Helton drove in five runs on two hits to lead IronPigs past Wood Wranglers 21-9 on Sunday at 2750 Longleaf Dr, Pensacola, FL 32526. Helton hit a home run to right field in the fifth inning, scoring three runs, and doubled in the fourth inning, scoring two.
Bats blistered as IronPigs collected 18 hits and Wood Wranglers tallied eight in the high-scoring game.
IronPigs jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Nick Gutierrez doubled, scoring two runs, Nathan Lain singled, scoring one run, Shawn Rowe doubled, scoring two runs, Jared Rowe singled, scoring one run, Eric Womack scored after tagging up, Gutierrez singled, scoring one run, and Womack hit a grand slam to right field.
Andrew Blomberg hit a grand slam to right field in the bottom of the first for the Wood Wranglers.
IronPigs added two runs in the second after Gutierrez doubled down the left field line.
IronPigs added four more runs in the top of the fifth inning on three hits. Chuck Peterson singled, scoring one run, and Helton homered to right field, scoring three runs.
Womack led things off on the mound for IronPigs. The pitcher allowed eight hits and nine runs (five earned) over five innings, striking out seven and walking four.
IronPigs collected 18 hits in the game. Gutierrez and Helton were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in five runs for IronPigs. Lain, Rowe, Womack, and Peterson each collected multiple hits for IronPigs. Brian Ward paced IronPigs with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating eight walks for the game. IronPigs turned one double play in the game.
Blomberg provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Wood Wranglers with four runs batted in. The pitcher went 2-for-3 on the day. AJ Hughes and Blomberg each collected two hits for Wood Wranglers.
IronPigs play at home on Saturday against Tailgaters in their next game.

Party Animals Defeats Pirates On Back Of Clutch Display From Ryan LaRocca
Ryan LaRocca drove in four runs on two hits to lead Party Animals past Pirates 9-5 on Tuesday at 2750 Longleaf Dr, Pensacola, FL 32526. LaRocca singled in the second inning, scoring two runs, and doubled in the fourth inning, scoring two.
Party Animals were the first to get on the board in the first when an error scored one run.
Pirates made the score 3-1 in the bottom of the first after Ryan Dawkins tripled, scoring two runs, and Daniel Mitchell grounded out, scoring one run.
LaRocca singled down the right field line on the seventh pitch of the at-bat, which helped Party Animals tie the game at three in the top of the second.
Party Animals captured the lead, 5-3, in the top of the third after Shane Butler laid down a sacrifice bunt, and Sam Nelson singled to the right side of the infield, each scoring one run.
Dawkins hit a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the fifth for the Pirates.
Dave Partrick stepped on the bump first for Party Animals. The righty surrendered eight hits and five runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking two. Cody Borland stepped on the hill first for Pirates. The right-handed pitcher surrendered six hits and eight runs (six earned) over three innings, striking out two and walking four.
Party Animals accumulated 12 hits in the game. Nelson, LaRocca, Partrick, and Dale Spring each collected two hits for Party Animals. Party Animals had patience at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game. Nathan Allen and Tully Steward led the team with two bases on balls each. Party Animals stole four bases in the game.
Dawkins provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Pirates with three runs batted in. The pitcher went 2-for-4 on the day. Terry McClain Jr and Dawkins were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Pirates. McClain Jr, Justin Kroll, and Dawkins each stole multiple bases for Pirates. Pirates ran wild on the base paths, piling up six stolen bases for the game. Pirates turned one double play in the game.
