Fun Fridays are one of our favorite traditions! On a few Fridays throughout the year, we will spend our time doing a fun activity to build connection with our teammates instead of a traditional practice. This week, we are going to go disc golfing on campus! If you would like to join us, meet us in the Harre Union Games Room at 4 PM on Fridayto check out a set of discs.

Makayla Mann (she/her/hers) is looking forward to returning to the Women's Ultimate Frisbee e-board as our member at large! Makayla is a second-year bioengineering student and has been on the team for one year. A fun fact about her is that her favorite character to play as in Mario Kart is Koopa Troopa!

Callie Stillion (she/her/hers) is so excited to be serving as the vice president of Women's Ultimate Frisbee! She is a second-year nursing major and this will be her second year on the team. When she isn't on the field, Callie can be found scorekeeping for the athletics department, assisting with finances as the treasurer for Alliance, and learning American Sign Language in ASL Club. A fun fact about Callie is that she is a junior black belt in karate!

Emily Broniewicz (she/her/hers) is ecstatic to be joining the Women's Ultimate Frisbee e-board as president! Emily is a sophomore biology and chemistry double major and this is her second semester on the team. When she isn't playing ultimate, you can find her assisting students as an RA in Webrenberg Hall and as a biology lab aide, or performing for Luce Band and Hooked on Tonics, where she is the music director. A fun fact about Emily is that she wants to go to all of the national parks and get a badge from each of them!

Nicole Brown (she/her/hers) is looking forward to returning to the Women's Ultimate Frisbee e-board as co-captain! Nicole is in her senior year at Valpo, studying computer engineering and computer science and has been on the frisbee team for a year and a half. A fun fact about her is that she loves anything outdoorsy including hiking, biking, and camping!

Becca Haller (she/her/hers) is so excited to be joining the Women's Ultimate Frisbee executive board as co-captain! A sophomore nursing major, Becca is entering her second year on the team. When she's not on the field, you can find her spending time with her sorority sisters in Gamma Phi Beta, giving campus tours, or working at the fitness center. A fun fact about Becca is that she and her family traveled to Alaska this summer!

We hope that everybody had a great first day of classes and are staying safe in this heat! Our official practices will begin next Monday at East Gate, located across Sturdy Road near Emory G. Bauer Field. We will be having walk/drive overs during our first couple of weeks of practice as the field can be a little bit difficult to find. Keep an eye out for updates for where to meet for a ride/to walk with the group on our story, as well as any location changes, time changes, and cancelations.
