Congratulations to Mr David Hawkey on his promotion to 6th Dan in Shuri-ryu. This promotion is a long time coming. He has been training in Shuri-ryu since the early 1970’s here in Peoria. Now in his mid 70’s he trains as hard as ever. His power, speed, and agility are as impressive as ever. Not only his physical skills but his dedication to learning and growing are something to be commended and we should all strive for.

This year we are doing something new with our renewable spirit seminar at Paradice Hotel. We are trying out a new intermediate seminar. This is for the kids who are too old and too advanced for our normal kids seminar. If your child is 10 through 14 years old, this is the place for them. Especially if they are yellow belt or higher. If you haven’t heard about this seminar, please let us know so we can give you all the info. You do have to register early and spots are filling up quickly with our limited space.
