Winter can be a tough season as we are stuck inside. Karate can be the perfect way to use up energy and learn something new.

The snowy morning won’t stop us from hosting our dojo tournament! We are here and ready to go!

We started the physical requirements of two of our ikkyu’s shodan (1st degree black belt) test, Anum Amanullah and Chad Schmidgall. They worked hard and will continue working these exercises like push up, sit up, and weights until their test on January 3rd.

What is unique about these two people’s test is they no longer live in Illinois! They continually travel back for regular training and we meet weekly virtually to continue their growth.

If you see them wish them luck! I’m sure they will do great!

With winter fast approaching it’s a great time to find activities to keep busy and continue to grow while stuck indoors!
