Brandon Dean has owned and promoted Peoria Speedway for 13 years. Tonight the announcement was made weekly racing will come to an end. The Summer Nationals on June 11th will go on. We want to thank Bob Sargent and Adam Mackey for stepping up and promoting the race. We hope to see everyone come out for Summer Nationals.

Track Enterprises Added as Promoter of Peoria Speedway Summer Nationals Event on June 11

(Peoria, IL) The DIRTcar Summer Nationals Late Models and Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals will make a stop at Peoria Speedway on Thursday, June 11 as part of the early stretch of the 2026 tour schedule, with Track Enterprises joining the event as promoter alongside Peoria Speedway ownership and staff.

The Thursday night event will mark just the third event on the 2026 DIRTcar Summer Nationals schedule and is expected to bring some of the nation’s top dirt late model drivers to the historic Peoria, Illinois bullring. Track Enterprises and its staff will also promote the Father’s Day Sunday, June 21 Summer Nationals event at Lincoln Speedway.

“We are excited to work with Brandon Dean and his staff on this event,” said Bob Sargent, president of Track Enterprises. “The Summer Nationals fields have been strong the last couple of seasons and we can’t wait to see what this year has in store. Peoria Speedway has a tremendous history and we’re looking forward to helping bring another exciting Summer Nationals event to the fans.”

The event will feature the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Late Models, Summit Modified Nationals, B-Mods, and Hornets.

Event times for Thursday, June 11 will see pit gates opening at 2:00 PM, grandstands opening at 4:00 PM, hotlaps at 6:00 PM, and racing action beginning at 7:00 PM.

Racing returns this Saturday to the Peoria Speedway hope to see people come out and support local racing.

We hope everyone had a good Memorial Day weekend and supported our local tracks around who had specials. Peoria Speedway has made the choice to remove the Crate Late Models and run the Super Late Models this coming weekend. Street Stocks have also been removed off the schedule. We hope to see everyone back out for this weekends race program featuring Super Late Models, Modifieds, H&H Speed & Machine B-Mods, Hornets, and Crown Vics.

We’re just ONE DAY AWAY from the MARS Racing Series Modifieds and Late Models invading the high banks of The Spoon for the annual running of the Gary Cook Jr. Memorial! $2,064 to win Modifieds - $5,000 to win Late Models!

E-Mods, Hornets and Crown Vics will be in action as well. More event information can be found on the attached flyer.

As we are not racing this weekend and we already had it off for Memorial Day weekend like years past we hope you all head out to the Spoon River Speedway and continue to support our two local tracks.

Sunday, May 24, the MARS Late Model Championship powered by FK Rod Ends and MARS Modified Championship powered by Summit Racing Equipment invade the Spoon River Speedway for the Gary Cook Jr Memorial! This event will mark the only visit to the speedway in 2026 for the MARS Late Models, and the final scheduled Super Late Model special of the season.
