Advance belt recognition . Congrats to our newest rank on an incredible Saturday of testing your skills. Skills, creation of your own techniques and kata using Kenpo principles, and the pleasure of working with your team over 4 hours.

And it’s a wrap! A huge emotional week at Desert Dragons as I say goodbye to Jessi after two decades of being a student, office manager, my organization and dearest of friends. Also this week, congrats to all our new rank in both kids and adult classes as they tested their skills and knowledge to be recognized at new perspective levels. The joy on the faces as I took a beating was the photo of this new year. Congrats, goodbye, and salute in a week’s time.

A tremendous weekend of achievements to celebrate the 20th year of Desert Dragons Kenpo, as Ms. Abby earned her 1st Degree brown, Ms. Stephanie her 2nd Degree Brown, Mr Jeffrey Sprong brining his long vision to life earning 1st Degree Black, and Mr. Brian Eisenberg illustrating growth, leadership, and great vision as he earned the rank of 5th Degree Black. A student hopes to have their best day on certifications, and this weekend in particular, all of them executed at a new level they hadn’t hit before. Honored to be part of your journeys. Thank you to our entire studio for their selfless assistance in the preparation of each student. Thanks to the instructors for your guidance for this group. A huge congrats to all of you!!!

The monks of Prescott met today, black belts on Black Friday sharing story, friendship and some most excellent insights into Kenpo. GM Larry Tatum provided definition today in what Kenpo is and can be, which I feel really addresses many of the challenges when answering questions on the whys and hows of our training. Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge with us.
