Our Hawaiian community here in Arizona mourns the loss of a beloved leader, teacher, and cultural bearer. Kumu Kaimi touched countless lives with her aloha, her wisdom, and her unwavering commitment to keeping Hawaiian traditions alive far from our island home.

She helped build and nurture our community with love, respect, and dedication. Her influence will continue to live on through every dancer she taught, every song she shared, and every heart she inspired.

We honor her legacy and send our deepest aloha to her ʻohana, hālau, and all who were blessed to know her.
