Every great horse’s journey starts with the first ride. From introducing this c**t to the basics as a two-year-old, to building confidence, softness, and developing him one ride at a time, it’s been rewarding to watch him grow into the c**t he is today.

A solid foundation is something that stays with a horse for life, no matter the discipline. Now it’s time for this young c**t to graduate from our program and begin his next chapter, carrying the lessons learned here into the barrel pen.

We’re proud to have been part of his foundation training and look forward to watching him do what he was bred to do.

Buying a horse is exciting, but what excites me even more is everything that comes after. The hours spent in the saddle, the trust that’s built, the lessons learned, and watching a partnership grow one ride at a time (literally).

Thank you Christine for trusting me to guide you through this journey. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping someone not only become a better rider, but a better horseman. My goal has always been to build a strong foundation that gives both horse and rider the confidence to succeed—brick by brick.

As a trainer, one of the most rewarding things to see is the growth of a rider. This past show was another example of how dedication, consistency, and a willingness to learn continue to pay off.

Over the last year Laurie has made tremendous strides in her horsemanship. Her commitment to understanding her horse, improving her feel, and focusing on the small details has strengthened the connection between her horse. That partnership and understanding has translated into consistent success in the show pen, earning personal high scores and top placings along the way.

What makes me even prouder is the person Laurie is around the barn. Her joy is contagious, her vibrant personality brings positive energy wherever she goes, and she is always one of the first people cheering on and supporting those around her.

The ribbons and scores are well deserved, but it’s the growth, character, and passion you bring every day that make this journey so special.

There are moments as a trainer that make you proud, and then there are moments that remind you exactly why you do what you do.

Watching Gunnar step into the show pen at her very first horse show and not only do an amazing job, but go on to win her classes, was something special. The hard work, dedication, and countless hours she’s put in at home have been reflected in her growth as both a rider and horsewoman at such young age.

What makes this journey even more meaningful is the full circle it has come. Years ago, when she was just one year old, I gifted her my son’s pony. To now see her riding, showing, and achieving success alongside me is something I could have never imagined back then.

The ribbons are wonderful, but what I’m most proud of is the confidence she’s gained, the work ethic she’s developed, and the young horsewoman she’s becoming. This is only the beginning, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes her.

So incredibly proud of you and all you’ve accomplished.

Proud trainer moment!

Watching Danica continue to grow and succeed in the show pen has been incredibly rewarding. Through hard work, dedication, and consistent riding, she was able to consistently mark solid 72s at the California Reining Horse AssociationHollywood charity show winning her classes, and making tremendous improvements in her showmanship on both of her mares.

Success doesn’t happen overnight—it comes from putting in the work day after day, and she has done exactly that. Her commitment to becoming a better horsewoman is paying off. It has been so rewarding to see Dani understand the difference between both of her mares and learn how to ride her horse through the pattern and not just ride the pattern.

Keep working hard, stay humble, and enjoy the journey. The results are well deserved! Shine Equine LLC
