Herb Spotlight: Tulsi 🌿

Tulsi, also known as holy basil, has a long history of traditional use in Ayurveda.

It’s often enjoyed as a warm herbal tea and is valued as part of calming, everyday wellness rituals.

Simple ways to enjoy it:
• steep the leaves as tea
• sip it during a quiet afternoon
• make it part of your evening wind-down

A simple herb, a slower moment, and one more reason to pause. ✨

You charge your phone before it reaches 0%… what about yourself? 🌿🔋

Ayurveda reminds us that rest isn’t something we have to earn after exhaustion.

Our energy is something to care for every day.

Step outside.
Eat something nourishing.
Take a few slow breaths.
Give yourself a quiet moment.
Go to bed when your body asks for rest.

Small pauses throughout the day can be part of caring for your energy — instead of waiting until you’re completely drained.

Consider this your reminder to recharge. 🤍

Ever notice you feel more ready for a proper meal in the middle of the day? 🌿

In Ayurveda, midday is traditionally considered a strong time for digestion, which is why lunch is often treated as the main meal of the day.

Think:
• warm, cooked food
• enough to feel satisfied
• balanced, not overly heavy
• time to actually sit and eat

Instead of saving your biggest meal for late at night, try giving lunch a little more attention. ✨

Life has no rewind. 🌿

And sometimes we’re so busy thinking about what’s next that we forget to experience what’s happening now.

Ayurveda encourages us to slow down and bring awareness into the ordinary moments of our day — enjoying a warm meal without rushing, taking a quiet walk, noticing our breath, or simply sitting with a cup of tea.

Wellness isn’t only about what you eat or the routines you follow.

It’s also about being present enough to enjoy the life you’re caring for. 🤍

Today, give yourself permission to slow down.

A little scalp massage can be a lovely way to slow down. 🌿

In Ayurveda, oiling and massaging the scalp is traditionally used as a calming self-care ritual.

Try this:
• warm a small amount of sesame oil
• massage gently with your fingertips
• move slowly across the scalp and temples
• take your time and breathe

Note: Sesame oil is traditionally used in Ayurvedic scalp massage, but it may feel heavy for some hair types. Patch-test first and wash out well after use.

Just a few quiet minutes can turn an ordinary evening into a more intentional one. ✨

The way you speak to yourself matters. 🌿

We’re often quick to notice what we didn’t finish, what went wrong, or what we could have done better.

But what about the things you did do?

You got through a difficult day.
You made a healthier choice.
You rested when you needed it.
You tried again.

Ayurveda teaches us to pay attention not only to how we care for the body, but also to the patterns we create in the mind.

Positive reinforcement can be part of that practice.

Acknowledge the small wins. Speak to yourself with encouragement. Let progress be enough for today.

Because the voice you hear most often is your own. 🤍

What if you stopped trying to do everything at once?

Ayurveda encourages a calmer, more intentional pace, and sometimes that simply means giving your attention to one thing at a time.

Eat without scrolling.
Walk without checking your phone.
Finish one task before starting the next.

Less switching. Less noise. More presence. ✨

Lunch can be simple, warm, and satisfying.

Try building an Ayurvedic-inspired plate with:

• a warm grain
• dal or another protein
• cooked vegetables
• a little chutney or fresh herbs
• warming spices like cumin, coriander, or turmeric

Ayurveda often favors cooked, balanced meals that feel nourishing without being overly heavy.

Think comfort, color, and food that leaves you feeling good after you eat. ✨
