I know we’ve been quiet, I’m still sometimes in a space of grey, out to drift, but reality hits me and I get a fire under my ass to get s**t done. I spent some time yesterday looking back through photos of Mark’s car when a question on Pigs Feed popped up. It’s not just a race car, but a true piece of art that we poured hours into together. Every line, every panel, every detail had intention behind it. We chased perfection on this build, and somehow, looking at it now, I think we got really close on this one.
The car sold in an hour of letting the world know it was available… I know it will continue on with new memories and a new chapter, but it will always hold a special place in my heart. It carries pieces of late nights in the shop, laughs, ideas, stress, pride, and friendship that can never be replaced.
What makes something beautiful is not just how it looks, but the story, passion, and people behind it. That car will forever remind me of Mark and the time we shared creating something we were both proud of.
This weekend we’ll be celebrating his life on Sunday, in San Jose.

Words cannot express how I feel right now.
Mark Biscardi was a badass. Back in the day, he was that Vet driver who would come up from the BAD club during co-sanction races and kick all of our asses because age doesn’t matter at local races. Thankfully, at Nationals I got to watch so much of what he did on the track. I always thought it was cool when he and Eric would end up side by side, battling again. Two local guys who traveled all over, only to find themselves racing each other and pushing each other once more. Those battles were epic, and they always made me smile rooting for the “old guys”.
Over the years, when Mark found out I did graphics, we got closer and I did his car. He invited Noel, my dad, and me over to his place and to his dad’s place. We met Dominic, love that old man, hung out, worked on graphics, had a little charcuterie and some beers. It was just “different stuff”, good stuff, great memories together.
During this build, we grew even closer. I got to see just how meticulous he was about the end product, how hard he worked, how much of a badass he was, and at the same time, how soft-hearted he could be. He joined us for family dinners, told stories, laughed with all of us, and became more than just a racer we knew and admired. He became a real friend, family.
One night he said he had his dad at home and sister he met with and did sushi with almost every Wednesday, he also had three close friends, and now he had more in his circle. He said, “This is rad, and this car is cherry… my Cadillac.” That stuck with me.
I know we all have an expiration date, and we are all part of God’s plan, but dammit, we were looking forward to many more years together. More laughs, more memories, more moves, and more ass-kickings on the track.
Godspeed, my friend. Even with these words, they still do not come close to the place you will always hold in my heart. -Chad
