The 2026 North American Longbow Safari at Rancho Neblina in Petaluma, CA honors the Golden Age of the Longbow and the legacy of pioneers like Howard Hill, when skill, wood, & steel were all an archer needed. Every shot is designed with purpose, echoing the challenges faced by traditional bowhunters of the past.

This 2 day event is a true Safari
Style shoot w/ 60 targets, complete with a "Guide" on 4th of July Weekend!

Only true longbows with traditional or reverse handles & wood arrows are allowed. String must not touch the limbs. Wood shafts, feather fletching & 2 blade broadheads are required for the trail & running events, preserving the hunting heritage & seriousness of the Safari Tradition. Flu Flu's w/field points for bow birds & field points for Archery Golf. NO sights. NO elevated rests. NO massive risers, NO bolt on limbs or other modern shortcuts. Just archer & bow as it has always been.

More than a shoot, this is a gathering and fellowship of archers drawn together by tradition, craftsmanship, and the enduring spirit of the longbow.
