Nielson Racing

Was able to pull off the W last night after flipping in practice. Thanks to everyone for helping get the car back together except for for losing all the parts he took off.

This weekend the newest track sponsor Bruno Bianchi will be behind the wheel of the Nielson Racing 23 looking to park it on the front straightaway.

Race Recap. Went down to to race with the and a good tune out of 25 cars. Qualified 16th. Started on the pole of my heat race was shuffled back on the first lap but was able to regroup and max it back up to 4th which locked us into the main. Started 15th in the main went forward but ended up finishing 16th. Need to thank my sponsors T&K Mobile, Power Pole Service and Ferina Trucking.

First race of the year teaming up with Bernie Simpson to run his spec sprint was a blast. I’m looking forward to the next race since this is a whole different animal from what I am used to. We we’re pretty fast right out of the box I went 19th in hot laps out of 37 cars and qualified 22nd. Started 6th in the heat and finished 4th which locked us into the main. I started 15th in the main was starting to get a feel for the car and unfortunately was collected in a wreck which ended our night. I would like to thank everyone involved that made this opportunity possible. Bernie Simpson, Tony Bernard, Kirk Simpson, Matt Cossey, Matt Janes, Garrett Mattei and both Mikes which completes the team of Georgie and the Geriatrics. We will be back next weekend running my 600.

With starting my new glass business the end of last year I am not sure what our schedule will be but we will try to be out there as much as possible.
