Tag someone you want to join you here. 💙
Somewhere along the way, we started believing that getting on the water had to involve a packed car, traffic, and a whole day of planning.
What if it didn't?
What if summer was simpler than that?
A little fresh air. A little sunshine. A little time to breathe. Right here in the heart of town.
No road trip required.
Just relax. Be here.

Tag someone you'd rather be on the water with than sitting in traffic. 💙
Take a breath.
No, really.
Summer doesn't have to mean packing the car, fighting traffic, and driving for hours just to find a little peace.
Sometimes it's as simple as stepping onto the dock, looking up at the sky, and letting the river do what rivers do: slow you down.
Right here in the middle of town.
Relax. Breathe.
Be Here.

This month’s First Fridays Free Community Yoga on the Dock is made possible by our generous sponsor, Rachel Bisaillon of Bay Haven Equestrian. 💙
Rachel has asked that, in lieu of a sponsorship spotlight, we shine a light on the incredible work of the Square Peg Foundation and invite our community to support their mission.
Square Peg is a nonprofit that helps children, youth, adults, and families feel accepted, capable, and connected through adaptive horsemanship, job training, and rescued horses. Their programs support neurodiverse individuals and families, helping turn "I Wish" into "I Can."
If you'd like to support their work, please consider making a donation: https://www.squarepegfoundation.org/programs/how-can-i-help/donate/
Join us from 6–7 pm on The Floathouse dock for an all-levels yoga session designed to help us connect—with ourselves, with one another, and with the beautiful environment that surrounds us. On summer Friday evenings, that often includes live music drifting across the Turning Basin, boats on the water, and the unique sense of community that makes Petaluma special.
The amazing Cecelia Sandoval of Ovals and Yoga will be your instructor. Don't miss this opportunity to be one with our community by the water. https://ovalsandyoga.com/
If you haven't registered yet, there are just a few spots left for this Friday's First Friday Free Community Yoga on the Dock! https://bit.ly/4ubLCWs
Free to attend. Registration required. We hope you'll join us.

👀 Boat-spotters, here’s your next heads up…
We’re expecting a 7-boat cruise-in from the Corinthian Yacht Club of San Francisco June 5–7, with visiting yachts making their way into the Petaluma turning basin for the weekend.
You may notice a little extra activity on the river as these larger vessels arrive and depart. If you’re heading out to paddle, just stay aware and share the space.
If you’re staying shoreside, it’s a great weekend for a waterfront stroll, a coffee by the basin, and a little classic boat-watching 😎
Big thanks to the Petaluma Yacht Club for helping keep the local boating community informed.

Summer doesn't always start with a big vacation.
Sometimes it starts because you decided to get outside, try something new, and spend a morning on the water.
This Saturday, we're inviting everyone—not just racers—to join us for the Fun Petaluma River Races.
Despite the name, this isn't just for competitive paddlers. If you've ever wanted an excuse to take your kayak, paddle board, canoe, surfski, or rowing shell out on the river, this is it. You can paddle the 2- or 4-mile course at your own pace, or try our new 800-meter technical race in the Turning Basin, complete with four buoy turns.
No entry fee. No prizes. No pressure.
Just a fun way to spend a Saturday morning with other people who love being on the water.
Don't have a boat? We've got you covered. Rent a beginner-friendly kayak or paddle board from The Floathouse for just $35 for the entire event.
