High Desert Hustle recap
had a rough 3 days of racing but we will regroup and learn from it all. Overall he came out in one piece and finished the A main on Saturday with the fastest kart on the track in Beginner Box just couldnât put it all together and avoid the slower lap karts like he usually does throughout the week leading both prelim A mains.
had a humble week of racing as well making both A main prelims but not able to lock into the show so he ran the B on Saturday started P2 and finished P2 locking into the A main. He started P13 and after ripping the top all race and being calculated and patient he worked his way up to 5 for the majority of the race and coming up to the white flag he had his opportunity for another pass when the kart in from got loose coming out of 4 and threaded the needle down the front stretch about to be in P3 but going into 1 he got doorâd knocking his chain off ending his night at P7. He drove the best 250 race yet and is looking forward to getting back to redbluff to continue his goals to getting back into victory lane.
Last but not least Dad got to race too thanks to his buddy Justin Reinolds for getting me a ride in Mike Larsonâs second cage clone. Made both prelim A mains but missed the transfer by a few spots each night but started P6 in the B on Saturday and finished P4 locking into the A main. Started P14 and was up to P7 or P8 ripping the top but got drove into 15 laps in and it bent and de beaded my LR. The kart got super tight but Just hunkered down and rolled the top for the last 15 laps and ended up P9. Just glad I was able to put it in the show going against 43 karts in that class and really appreciated opportunity to run the kart and had a great time hanging out with Mike. Heâs the best crew chief I have ever had and the only one Iâve had! Congrats to Justin on almost winning the race!!
Thank you to all of our sponsors that help the boys and we would also like to officially thank Ed Brown Trucking Inc and Casey Schmitz Racing & Driver Development for bringing the boys on board and sponsoring them and getting Jax a whole new wrap and some new tires, disappointing that they werenât in victory lane this race but they will be!

***SCHEDULE REVEAL***
We are just over 2 months away from the start of another Red Bluff Outlaws season at the Tehama District Fairgrounds inside the Pauline Davis Pavilion! As usual we will have 12 points paying races along with the West Coast Nationals.
Unfortunately we have had to make some drastic changes to the schedule to accommodate what the fair board is allowing us to do this year. We were only granted 11 weekends inside the Pavilion and we will have to make due. With that being said weâve made the decision to have 2 double header weekends to get all of our points races in. One on a Friday/Saturday and one on a Saturday/Sunday. This isnât what we wanted to do but we had very limited options.
