Rec soccer and PYSA Academy is cancelled tonight, 10/20/11.

FOOT SKILLS, FREESTYLE, AND FUN - starting tonight, and every Tuesday night during the girls fall rec soccer season, PYSA coach Mike Atchison will be holding an informal and optional skills session from 6:40 pm to 7:10 pm. All Academy and rec girl players are welcome. This is an informal and non-competitive opportunity to learn to have fun with a soccer ball and improve foot skills and juggling skills. Players can follow along the group or play at their own pace.

PYSA U10 Academy is CANCELLED for Monday, September 12th. That night is family night in the Petoskey school district. No school activities are scheduled that evening so that families can spend time together, and the PYSA does not wish to interfere with that. It is a nice time for a break, considering the Academy teams are playing in the Petoskey and T.C. tournaments over the next 2 weekends. Academy practice will resume as scheduled on Wednesday, 9/14.

The GVSU women's soccer team is running a free clinic for PYSA girls u10-u13 on Friday, 8/19 from 6:30-8:00 PM at Click.

The Grand Valley State Women's Soccer team, back-to-back National Champion, are holding their pre-season training camp at Click Road next week.

Their practices will be open to PYSA coaches. On Tuesday they will be training from 7:30-9:00 PM and the rest of the week 9:00-11:00 and 4:00-6:00.

On Saturday, 8/20 at 10:00 AM they will be playing an intra-squad match that will be open to the public. It's a great chance for both boys and girls to see the game played at the highest level.

Tuesday night u10-u12 winter skill sessions begin tomorrow night at NCMC. u10 boys and girls 5:45-6:30, u11/12 girls 6:30-7:30, u11/12 boys 7:30-8:30. Please bring dry indoor athletic shoes.

u13-18 winter traiing begins this Saturday morning at NCMC. Girls 10:00-11:00 and boys 11:00-Noon.

PYSA Shooting Stars - There are still a few spots open for 5 and 6-year old girls that would like a fun introduction to soccer this winter.
