A huge highlight of Day One of the 2026 Annapolis boat show is seeing the Aquila 45 and Aquila 50 in the water and packed with interested sailors.

It's incredible to remember that last year at this show there was just an idea - not yet any sailing cats. And now here they are!

A hydraulic package designed around one goal: finding performance gains in every detail.

The newest addition to the 52 fleet is also the first to adopt Harken's latest hydraulic innovations.

Trinity features a suite of systems developed to make the boat simpler to operate, easier to service, and more competitive on the racecourse, including new-generation hydraulic valves, a recirculating line-drive pump, a compound forestay and jib tack cylinder, and a down-drive pedestal system.

Meet SénéVoile, a free sailing program in West Africa.

It’s based at the Gianipa Nautical Base in Ndangane, a coastal village on the delta where the Saloum River joins the Atlantic, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site 150 km south of Dakar. SénéVoile offers free sailing lessons to local Senegalese boys, girls, and young adults on Optimist, Laser, and 420 dinghies, year-round, on protected delta waters with ideal trade wind conditions. The program is run in partnership with the Senegalese Sailing Federation and the Cercle de la Voile de Dakar.

SénéVoile is built on the same simple belief that fuels Harken’s Blockheads program: sailing teaches self-reliance, responsibility, and confidence in a way few other activities can. Further, SénéVoile believes young people everywhere deserve that experience regardless of their background. In Ndangane, the sea surrounds daily life, but the sport has been entirely out of reach for most young people. SénéVoile is working to change that.

505, 18ft Skiff Champion, and genuine American sailing legend Howard Hamlin was in our factory today for some collaboration and a tour of our production space.

Next, he's headed to Pewaukee Yacht Club for the 2026 E-Scow Blue Chip regatta, where he's this year's Mystery Guest. If he's as curious and interested in new ideas on the race course as he was here, the rest of the fleet will have a LOT with which to contend.

Gray skies won't keep these Harkenites off the water for Harken Sail Day! ⛵️

Each year, the team in Pewaukee trades the factory floor for the lakefront and spends the afternoon sailing, grabbing lunch, and spending time together over games and prizes.

Sailors and non-sailors alike pushed off the docks at the Milwaukee Community Sailing Center for some time on the water.

We'll call that another Sail Day well spent. ✅

As one week of racing comes to a close, another begins. Following the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup, the Swan fleet has arrived at Yacht Club Costa Smeralda for the Rolex Swan Cup, and the Harken Tech Team is back on the dock, ready to support the fleet.

For more than 25 years, the Harken Tech Team has supported racers at these events, providing expert technical advice and hands-on service.

We’re proud to be part of the racing and look forward to another great week in Porto Cervo.
