This salsa class was different. I approached the class with no choreography. My plan was to teach each student the basic steps to salsa cadence. As they repeated the basic step in place, I asked them to listen to the beats. The music tells us which salsa moves to execute based on the rhythm of the beats.

Afterwards, I asked them to loosen up, dance freely and have fun!

We changed the music to a more upbeat song and created a routine together. We each chose a one 8 count salsa move and combine them to create a masterpiece. By the end of class, everyone was loose, sweating and having a good time. We actually choreographed two routines and danced through the entire song. 🔥

Don't miss another class. You'll never know what I may bring to the dance floor.

My 1st Swing Dance Class taught by Robert.

I've always wanted to learn how to swing dance. Thanks to and Robert for offering this class. Robert taught us basic steps followed by a little partner practice. As newbies, the ladies and I danced fairly well. Fun times.

I learned 5 basic swing dance steps. However, more practice is needed on the followimg:

- Learn all the basic steps
- Learn how to follow
- Learn to count out loud
- Work on moving smoothly

Great exposure as a rookie. I can't wait for the next class. Men and women, join us next time. Robert teaches men how to lead and women how to follow. Let's pack the next class!
