Today we wish a very Happy Birthday to Philadelphia wrestling veteran CJ O’Doyle.

Trained by the legendary Wild Samoan system, CJ became one of the defining names of the post-ECW independent wrestling scene. From the old ECW Arena to Florida promotions and beyond, “The Irish Lionheart” built a reputation as a rugged, dependable performer who shared the ring with countless future stars and wrestling legends.

A multi-time WXW Television Champion, CJ competed across promotions including WXW, CHIKARA, 3PW, FIP, TNA, NXT, and many others during a career that stretched over two decades. Whether working hard-hitting Philly brawls, tag team wars as part of The Celtic Sinners, or television appearances on larger stages, he always represented independent wrestling with toughness and passion.

Fans of the early-2000s Philadelphia wrestling scene especially remember CJ as part of the generation that helped keep the spirit of Northeast independent wrestling alive after ECW’s closure.

Please join us in wishing CJ O’Doyle a very Happy Birthday and thanking him for the memories, matches, and years dedicated to professional wrestling.
