Vesper HP Team

Vesper HP group performed really well in the first couple rounds of the regatta. Thursday, everybody will go on the water to race their finals or the semi finals.

Gaby made it to the F final, Emma and Sophie to the E final.

Julia and Charly were sent to the D final after really competitive repechages.

Shirley, Cristina and Kate were able to get a spot in the C final. They fought really hard on the rep and represented Vesper against really fast athletes.

Solveig and Eva will have their shot to make it to the A final in the Lw1x, tomorrow during the Semi Finals.

Dominique pulled a really strong race in the repêchage and finishing second, gave him a chance to compete against the other 11 fastest scullers in USA, to try to reach the A final Friday.

Congratulations to all Vepser HP and Masters athletes that raced at the Head of the Charles this week end. Lots of fun seeing everybody go down the course and even get some hardware.

Dominique won the Champ m2x
Charlotte, Cristina, Sophie, Brooke and Coral got silver in the Champ w4+
Yohann won the Senior Master 8+

Quick news from the HP Team

The transition to the new head coach has been pretty smooth and the team started the season in good hands back at the boathouse.

The team is getting bigger already as we welcome back Brooke Wolford and Julia Lonchar but also in the process to add couple more athletes to the roster

Next week we have four athletes flying overseas to train a week in France and race with my French club (Boulogne 92) at the French Nationals.

Kate Horvat and Sophie Pennoyer will be racing in w8+, Cristina Pretto will be in the w4- and finally Solveig Imsdahl will be in the w4x.

After racing Navy Day in Philadelphia, the HP team will be racing at the head of Charles. We got two entries in the Champ w2x, one in the Champ w1x, one in the Light m1x and finally one in the Champ w4+.

We will be returning to race in Philadelphia at the Head of the Schuylkill Navy Regatta and finally in Princeton for Fall Speed Order in 1x and 2- 8n early November.

We hope to see you all at Vesper but also at the regattas really soon.
