⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Not all small group personal training is the same.

One of the things we take pride in at PrideFit is making sure our members aren’t just going through the motions.

We want you to understand what you’re doing, why you’re doing it, and how it’s helping you reach your goals.

Breanna joined us through our Fall Reset program after trying other small group training gyms that just weren’t the right fit.

In just one month, she’s already feeling the difference. Not just in her progress, but in the coaching, attention, and community she’s found here.

That’s what we’re working to build at PrideFit. A place where you can train hard, feel supported, ask questions, and actually enjoy showing up.

Thank you, Breanna, for the kind words and for trusting us with your fitness journey! 💪🦁

Our September Member of the Month is a little extra special. 🦁💛

I’ve known Dan for 30 years. I was in high school when we met, and he was announcing Roman Catholic basketball games. More than 20 years later, we reconnected at Roman — each with a few more grays.

Dan originally came to me concerned about his elevated A1C. Within a few months, it had dropped below the prediabetes range. Then came a colon cancer diagnosis.

Throughout six months of chemotherapy, Dan continued training when he could. It wasn’t always as often as he wanted, but he kept showing up, working to maintain his strength and ability to stay active through an incredibly difficult time.

Recently, he rang the bell to mark the end of chemo. 🔔

Dan, we’re incredibly proud of your perseverance. This recognition celebrates the effort you put in, even when things were hard. You’re an inspiration and a valued part of our PrideFit community.

Let’s hear it for Dan, our September Member of the Month! 👏💪

Runners: don’t overlook these 3 exercises. 🏃‍♀️

Christine is preparing for her first 10-miler at the Rocky Run, and these are three exercises we’re including alongside her miles:

▪️ Soleus heel raises — Train a calf muscle that helps support the foot and ankle and contributes to push-off. Its fatigue-resistant fibers are well suited to the repeated demands of distance running.

▪️ Step-downs — Load the quads and patellar tendon while building control on one leg. Progressively strengthening these tissues helps build capacity to handle running’s repeated demands.

▪️ Suitcase carries — Challenge the core and hips to keep the trunk upright and pelvis controlled while moving with weight on one side.

Save these for your next workout and follow Christine’s journey to her first 10-miler! 💪

Congratulations to Jenn on her 100th visit! 💪🎉

Despite a busy career as a realtor, Jenn consistently trains 2–3 times a week. She’s dropped inches at her waist and improved her nutrition to fuel her goal of building her b***y and legs.

We’re proud of your commitment and progress, Jenn—here’s to the next 100! 🦁

A good warm-up is more than just getting your heart rate up.

Yes, we want to increase body temperature and get you moving — but that’s only the beginning.

At PrideFit, our warm-ups usually have a purpose behind each piece:

Metabolic → increase heart rate and body temperature
Mobility → move through the ranges of motion you’ll need
Activation → get key muscles working before we load them
Primer → rehearse movement patterns and prepare for the workout ahead
Power → add some speed and explosiveness while you’re fresh

Then we train.

Not every warm-up needs to be long or complicated, and we don’t need every piece every single time. The goal is simply to prepare you for what you’re about to do — not tire you out before the workout even starts.

Your warm-up should prepare you to perform, not just make you sweat.

50 visits. Consistent effort. Results worth celebrating. 💪

Anthony is down 21 pounds and 4 inches at his waist, with leaner measurements across the board and more muscle showing. His upper- and lower-body lifts have gotten significantly stronger, too.

Even with a son under a year old, Anthony keeps showing up twice a week and putting in the work.

Congrats on 50 visits, Anthony! We’re impressed by your progress and proud of the consistency behind it. 👏🦁

Free weights are great — but they’re not automatically the best tool for every exercise or every goal.

Machines provide more stability, which can allow you to focus more on the muscle you’re trying to train and put a high level of effort into the set without balance or coordination becoming the limiting factor.

They’re also a great way to add quality training volume without every exercise requiring the same technical demands as a free-weight movement.

That doesn’t make machines better than free weights — or free weights better than machines.

Good programming is about choosing the right tool for the goal.
